So watched the episode...
-The theme song...my ears...they burn!!!
-I know Power Rangers has never featured that good CGI, but I can't help but feel it's gone downhill since past seasons.
-Keeper...well, he seems okay. I'll give credit in that we haven't really had a mentor figure like him before, at least physically.
-The T-Rex...my eyes...they bleed...
-Villains...okay, nothing special, but the designs aren't too bad. And the bickering couple aren't too bad.
-Yes Sledge, take up the bomb and don't kill Keeper because...reasons (yes, I know he didn't know, but that doesn't really explain why he let Keeper live).
-More dinosaurs...save me Spielberg, save me!
-Okay, fight scene...short, but not too bad.
-Wait, so if this is 65 million years ago, why does North America look the same as it does in the present? And come to think of it, the gems from Dino Thunder were said to have been carried on the asteroid so...did Sledge not know about this? Or did he not care?
...I'm starting to realize that this is the third time dinosaurs have been used as a basis for zords. Um, yay?
-CGI dust cloud...bleh.
-Red Ranger hasn't heard of Google Maps.
-Power Rangers have entered the selfie craze...heh, nice.
-Ah, I see the pink ranger went to the Sarah Connor school of customer service.
-Favorite dinosaur? Who has a favorite dinosaur as a teenage? And no, I'm not jealous in that the triceratops was my favorite when I was a kid.
-Chase. I like ya brah.
-Like your enthusiasm Shelby but...y'know...there's that job...
-Huh. Red ranger's a bit more brainy than most red rangers.
-Eee! A Nazgul!
-Red ranger helps pink ranger. Cue the start of this season's shipping wars.
-Oh look, the red ranger plays Shovel Knight.
-Oh god...the monster watched Batman and Robin.
-Um guys...monster right by you...I know guns are cool and all but...y'know...
-Lamest. Morphing. Sequence. Ever.
-Aw come on, you could have at least eaten him.
-They seem to be taking this whole monster/dinosaur/ranger thing pretty well.
-Moralizing and shipping...yay.
Okay, snark aside...meh. It's far from bad, the actors are decent, and the creature designs are okay. On the other hand, there's a passe feeling about the whole morphing/rangers thing. Thinking of previous season openers, the morph sequence has always been this big event, and while we only have two rangers so far, it still feels underwhelming.
