So the common reasons for NOT going are

- Spiders (seriously, the big ones are actually the ones you don't worry about)

- Too far (Understandable)

- Fucked gaming release (Yahtzee over exaggerates waaaay too much about this, it's usually like 2-3 days behind the states, and how would that in any way affect a holiday?)

- The heat (Pffft, you're all wimps, bring on the 40 degree summers)

All in all you're just wimps, Drop Bears are the only things we are scared of, god damn you gotta be careful round them buggers.

People need to harden up about Australia. Hell, the US's 'bible belt' terrifies me more than any of the monsters we get down here.

One reason for me and only one, The fucking bugs man. I mean seriously, Spiders the size of your hand is enough for me.

No offence to any aussies, but your country is so damn scary!

Rofl. Those particular spiders aren't even dangerous.

But anyway... I'm trying to think of reason not to go, but I'm drawing a blank.

Nothing about Australia that I can think of is any worse than dozens of other countries... But then, I've lived there, so I'm biased.

Difficult to be careful around something that blends in perfectly with the foilage and makes no sound (unless it wants to, psychological warfare and all).

I'm tempted to relocate, but apparently the visa process is an expensive nightmare. Not entirely sure I like this propensity they have for moral panics.

Why, because I've been told they have fire-breathing kangaroos there, not to mention the ten-foot tall giant frostbite spiders. Or maybe I've been playing too much Skyrim... Nah. That can't be it.

My portable Portibula of Traveling is in the workshop. Yeah its Flux Generators we're a big off you see. Big problem with this model this is a model I obviously. The new ones have a better inner damping field

That's why true Aussies are careful anywhere and everywhere.

I have never seen a bigger bunch of pusses in my life, I'm Australian (Melbourne)and have been bitten by these spiders you sorry sacks of shit fear so much red-back in particular and sure it hurts but you live. as for snakes I've loped the heads of many a tiger snake in my back yard for my time and I'm only 17. as for censorship next to non-existent when compared to many of the Asian countries. sure the gore may be toned down on games like L4D2 but i can live with that as long as i still get the game.

I'll give you overseas folks one reason not to come here at this time of the year: THE HEAT!

If you're thinking of visiting Australia, wait until the middle of the year when the weather cools down to something bearable.

Late August is a good time to come. The wattle trees will be in flower then, and the masses of brilliant yellow flowers are a real treat for the eyes.

Face-eating wombats.

Other than that? Nothing? I would love to go there!

Even though the spiders are big, it only means you need to get a bigger newspaper. Who am I kidding? You have a notebook or a laptop? It's heavier than a newspaper!
