I vote that any politician that tries to pass any similar bills in the future get the death penalty. They shall be judged by internet users not in any way involved in the entertainment industry.

I just don't get why people are trying to suppress the internet instead of trying to work with it. That would get them much more support.

Just thought I'd pop in to find a rather amusing view of SOPA that I just found:
" Think about it, you're seven and selling lemonade on the street making some dough, then BAM, mad scientist out of nowhere learns how to take your lemonade, duplicate it, and give it away for diddly shit. You didn't lose any lemonade, but you stopped making money. All those thirsty son of a bitches don't give two fucks about paying you anymore, they can get it for free. I don't know about you but I would have to choke a *****. "
But seriously, fuck SOPA.

Ill sign, though it seems odd to me that I can, really, I mean, of all the people in the WORLD that the Irish wouldnt want signing their partitions, its a Brit, or more accurately an Englishman. Nevertheless, should this pass, it would set a terrifying precedent.
We don't want you're dirty signature...

Not really, this need all the signatures it can get and thanks for signing. While this is directed at one county, it could effect the whole world.

Man, governments are fucking stupid... But I shouldn't be surprised the Irish government tried this. They are always trying to do the same as better (though still not perfect) governments just to make themselves look like they actually know what they're doing.

What, is that Northern Ireland, or the one that's part of the UK, which is, I guess, the South one. Or was it the other way around? Anywho, I signed it. Hopefuly it won't be as serious an issue, as SOPA and PIPA were.

And yet, his alienation was required in order to fix a very real problem, you can find it here: http://www.debtbombshell.com . My only regret, I fear he hasnt fixed it, in trying to hard to not piss people off, he introduced only half measures that pleased noone and fixed nothing.
Undoubtedly so. That doesn't mean the majority of the English youth don't despise him for creating a debt for all of us. I don't care all that much, it's money that I'll never see, that I'll never know I had, and I'll be safe from bankers breathing down my neck the second I graduate; if I graduate; if I get in. But I know it's there, the generation thrown into the fees knows it's there and that's enough to piss people off.

It doesn't need to be real and it doesn't need to affect you, it just needs to be thought and people will hate it. It's all numbers on a computer screen, the pennies never reach the student's hands and the debt won't be paid off in full for most, especially considering interest, but they're aware they have it and it drives them mad.

Well, I signed it. Not sure if it'll mean anything, me being from the US and all, but it's not like I can do much else.

Hope this doesn't pass for you guys. Can your officials block something like this from going through? Giving one dude the ability to pass something without any opposition seems... kind of ridiculous.

I feel there pain, I really do. Even at 3.5k fees Im sat on 27k worth of student loan and a further £5k career development loan for an MSc. Fact is, you pay more now but have it off set to pay off over your life, or in 10 year the cash simply wont be there to borrow against, noone will get anything. Private funding only. I take the same view on benefits. Reforms will hurt people who dont deserve it. But the system is being abused horrifically. We do something now, or the cash wont be around in 10 years to pay any benefits. This, more than anything is the harsh reality of life and one of the reasons why even as a student, I do not hate Cameron. Because I can see would could happen if we do nothing.

Anonymous.. Without a name... Gan ainm.. Gan-Ainmous? That'd be fucking awesome. Though I'm sure I'm grammatically incorrect there somehow.
