I pre-ordered quite a while ago. Back when we thought it was coming out in June. That set off some warning bells I'd installed after Alpha Protocol had been delayed for yonks... but the key difference here is that the devs for this game aren't working for a publisher that has them under a shush order... and so... we get some explanation for why. And the explanation that Harebrained came up with was reasonable, and gave me reason to believe that they cared about the product beyond the basic question of whether or not anyone buys it.

Can't wait to get my hands on this. I also really want to see what the community will do with the editing tools. And then there's the post-release Berlin DLC

I do believe I want this, but it's going to have to wait. I can't get away from Civ. 5.

I'm interested in the title but the small trailer they have up on steam make the combat animations look really janky.

I was interested in it, until I found out non-backers aren't able to buy a DRM free version.

At the moment I'm seeing how it goes before I put money down on it.
Because of licensing bullshit, only backers get the DRM-free version of Shadowrun Returns and the Berlin DLC. The DRM-free version will not be able to use any other DLC than the DRM-free Berlin DLC.

On the upside, anyone who backed for the special limited edition with USB dog tag gets three Steam codes, so there are probably a few floating around cheap if you ask the right person. (Mine are already taken.)

I got time set aside off work to play it this week.

You could say I'm a little bit excited about this release.
I'll be interested to know what people like you think about it. (people who set time aside to play it)

I purchased it during the Steam Summer sale, we'll see come tomorrow how much fun it is. I don't know if Shadowrun was ever praised for its story, but the campaign creator should let the steam community and others make some awesome stuff.

So, so psyched. Only thing that bothers me is that you can't 'build a party' and play with more than one main character (as in Spidweb's Avernum games, or the old Realmz, or how Wasteland 2 appear to be). Still, several classes increases re-playability. I know what I will be doing this weekend.

I'm a backer and I've been pretty excited about it. I'm currently trying to get through SMT IV so I can get into this when it comes out tomorrow! We'll see if that's doable >.>

Well.. this better be good (I gave them 60$, i think... or less... can't remember - Enough for a Doc-Wagon-Card and a T-Shirt)

Game looks fine so far, hoping for good map/mod tools as promised though.

I was not excited, but I watched some gameplay yesterday and am now interested. I tend to get frustrated with Stats-heavy turn based tactics games instead of tactics-heavy ones.

Does anyone have a link to the hardware specs handy? I am not sure if it will run on my setup, which is currently a toasted ham sandwich.

Pre-ordered it on Steam a couple of months ago and am patiently awaiting tomorrow so I can finally install it. I don't expect to be blown away, but as a fun little distraction to get me over the summer lull, you can do much worse.

I backed it as soon as I heard about it, back when it was still a bit of a dream. I've been a fan of Shadowrun since I discovered the SNES game as a teenager. After that it was novels, then the PnP game... then I finally got around to the Genesis game.
I'm sort of chomping at the bit for this one, staring at it in my Steam library, wishing it would preload so I could play it at midnight.

also, the Fifth Edition of the tabletop RPG just came out.

I'm trying to decide what I want to do in Shadowrun Returns as the game is based around a classless system and there are a TON of different archetypes to do

I played the SNES one and have this pre ordered but I can't say anything about it as I have not played it yet.

It looks like everything I want; a turn-based, character creation rpg like Baldur's Gate, but I think I can stand to wait a week for the reviews to come out. You should always be skeptical of pre-ordering any game, indie games especially. AAA games may be a load of garbage but at least you know what your getting. The one upside to cookie-cutter game production is that there aren't many surprises. With indie games its always a gamble.

I'm waiting for noon tomorrow to download and play it, I have fond memories of this game from Genesis and even SNES. Will be great to get back into this game, especially with the modern stylings. Tomorrow should be a great day of gaming!
