There are always two kinds of shitheads in this world after a tragedy:

This is just a unfortunate side affect to freedom of expression. The shock jock either wants attention, money, or both and it's just kind of pathetic. All well, unless we want to start limiting freedom of speech, it's something that we have to live with.

Edit: But seriously, this was clearly made to gain attention of any kind. So acknowledge that it exists, that it's stupid and then, move on. Don't give him what he wants and just ignore it.

I hesitate to judge it so quickly. I know, I know, it's a game about shooting up kids..but video games don't have to be just about enjoyment, they can be education. It probably won't be the most informative game (or perhaps, at all) and it's probably just some jackass trying to get some publicity but it could happen.
Only thing about that is, from what I understand about the Columbine RPG (I haven't actually played it), it's an arty little look into the psychology of the killers. This one looks like an essentially plotless SHMUP. Major difference there.torno said:

I'm going to do the one thing the makers of this game absolutely doesn't want me to do, ignore it. That link in the OP? Never going to click it. Never going to mention it to any of my friends that doesn't know about it, never going to make topics about it on message boards, never going to rant about it on the internet or in person, and most certainly never going to spend any money on it. Oh and if it's free I'm also never going to play it.
It probably won't do much but if everyone ignored outrageous stuff that can only exist from the attention of outraged people, then hopefully the makers of these games will eventually figure out that doing that kind of crap doesn't get them anything and they'll stop making it. I mean they certainly have the right to make it, but if the people that hates those kind of games wants them to really go away/not exist then it's best to ignore it.

It seems it has been removed. A shame. As far as anyone of us knew, it could have been the most fun shooter of all time. I guess now we shall never know.

would you still play it? would playing a brilliant game that depicts real life events make you a bad person and how does that differ from playing say a WW2 sim? could it lead to more widespread violence than playing halo or doom? would you refusing to play it be any less ridiculous than the NRA calling any other shooter "THE WORST FORM OF PORN"
can't say i'm really a fan of games (or real life versions) running around killing small children but there seems to be a disconnect in this thread between games and reality.
