I hate to keep bringing this up in these threads, but you do know the PC version still has active players, costs $10 when it's /not/ on sale, and can run on pretty much anything still capable of accessing the internet, right?

I shit you not, they chose to make The Force Unleashed instead of Battlefront 3.
Then they did something more evil, they decided to make The Force Unleashed II.

Both of which were complete and utter shit.

OT: I thoroughly enjoyed battlefront 1&2 and I would buy 3 in an instant. The really need to get to this shit other wise no-one will even know what battlefront is any more. They have a money making machine and they aren't using it.

Yeah...can't really add much more to this. There is no reason at all not to do battlefront 3. There has never been a tangible reason not to do battlefield 3 aside from pandemic shutting down, and there have always been plenty of able canditates to take over. Not doing it is just madness on Lucasarts part. Part of me wonders whether it is because of the other projects that Lucasarts has been working on, KOTOR and the force unleashed, but to my mind, that leaves plenty of time.
