How close to that did it end up being?
First season? Spot on.

Since they moved to the CW and joined the Arrowverse though now its less of that and more of the arrowverse tropes shoved in
I'm still only on the first season and I wouldn't say spot on, but pretty damn close.
On a scale of 1-10?

Isnt this just a general problem of super hero stuff? Why doesnt every villain above standard mugger not have like, atleast 10 heroes popping up?

Marvel, DC, comics, movies, TV shows, etc all really have this problem.
I suppose that's true, but my real issue is that the big villain, Astra, is acting like Supergirl is the only obstacle to her plan to "save" the Earth.
You will find out later why shes the only one as they do address superman.
Ok good. I just found it odd that our hero and her entourage keep name dropping him, but the villains, whose plans are global in scale, don't acknowledge him.

If I'm being generous 8. If I'm not, 9.

Wait. Is this show in the same universe as the movies? Because if so, that sort of makes Lex's plans even dumber. Even killing Superman, there is still a girl with his powers.

CW shows & movies are separate universes, but your question would still be a valid one since that logic would apply in comics too. I like to think villains like Lex is going with the "get rid of my biggest obstacle first" mentality, like if I manage to get the rid of the very best hero first the rest should fall soon afterwards. That and Supergirl is usually portrayed as very similar but not quite as powerful as Superman, so assuming they are going for the biggest threat first logic going after Supes first would still make sense.

The only reason to watch this show is if you want the girl-power thing, which it has in spades, or are a fan of the character. The stories, characters and writing are bland and boring.
Those are two more reasons why I don't like it (despite being a girl-power fan and a Supergirl fan). It is so heavy handed with the girl power, especially in the pilot, and yet it really doesn't seem to know what it is saying or how it comes off half the time. When Supergirl points out her hero name is sexist, the stereotypically bitchy boss says "no ur sexist!" and the show leaves it at that. It doesn't have the brains to understand comic book hangups about women, or for that matter, tvshow hangups about women.

Legends Season 2 is pretty much better in every way to. The Legion of Doom is to entertaining.
Oh yes, so much succulent ham. Such voracious scenery-chewing.

Aye, and 'tis a pity. The movies could learn something from the shows' ability to look at the more silly campy elements of comics and just roll with it. Go Barry, run at that giant sharkman! Punch that telepathic simian!

It is very much *not* in the same shared universe as the films. The DC film universe has three films in it, the two superman ones and Suicide Squad, with Wonder Woman and Justice League down the line. There is already a Flash TV show but they have cast another Flash in the movies. Further, they've also had a different Superman in Supergirl TV show, nothing to do with Cavill/Snyder's interpretation (thank Heavens).

Forget what I said before, after the episodes I watched last night, it's definitely a 9.

they could still be in same thing i mean Flash has the whole multiverse going on so we can say the movies are Earth 666 GrimEarth xD

. How hard is it for the Green Arrow to just call over The Flash to beat the living shit out of whoever ails him this time?.
The flash saved green arrows once when the writers had wrote themselves into a corner, it was such an asspull.

As someone mentioned various superhero shows/movies/comics have this issue. Some of the MCU gets a pass like Thor 2 because everything was going to hell on earth so having everyone not turn up can be explained but then you have Captain America 2 trying to make cute little flying toys some huge global threat in a world where Hulk. Thor and to a lesser extent Iron man exists...

Anyway even though I enjoy Supergirl it does have an issue of making certain characters useless in order to make others look good. Even Supergirl gets nerfed from time to time to make her sister seem more useful.
