Pretty crazy stuff yeah?

Now I'm not suggesting that you good law abiding citizens would do such a thing as download a leak, but to anyone who might have..."accidently" came across and played it, is it any good? Is it faithful to the original?

Or if you haven't, any links to articles that concern it would be appreciated too. :)

you really want people to incriminate themselves? even with online anonymity?

All I really hope for this situation is that the game isn't released later because of it.

Of course no should support this kind of piracy or circumventing paying people for access to all their hard work.

But, ya know, if I had downloaded it and played it for, perhaps, say, an hour or two, I would say it's pretty awesome. More impressive than IW, but not sure on how it could compare to the original. I'd have to complete the whole thing a couple times to let ya know. Arm-blade stabbing people would be awfully satisfying.

If I had, ya know, done something like that. Which I wouldn't!

These types of "leaks" are done intentionally as often as not. If it's delayed because of it, then they were likely looking for a solid excuse to delay it.

That's a pretty bold statement to make.

Anyhow, I think discussing a leak isn't too bad. Just post a video of someone playing it and discuss. No need to talk about it yourself.

I haven't touched yet, and probably won't. A pre-alpha is going to be lackluster and cause you to draw false opinions anyway.

It can barely run on either of my computers. They are pretty old. That being said it is a damn good game so far, this has turned into a day 1 Augmented Edition buy. This truly feels like the sequel to Deus Ex. Look up "human revolution preview build gameplay" on YouTube to take a look.

Obviously nobody is going to come out and admit they leaked the stuff on purpose, that would kill the controversy that drums up more publicity for it when they leak it.

But really, in what kind of nonsensical fairytale world would you not develop a project of this scale on a network with absolutely no connection to the internet and disabled/removed USB ports? That's pretty common sense in my opinion.

Not interested in this game at all. I just don't have high hopes for it. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. We'll see.

Oh yeah, dude. It was awesome. World 1-2 in particular had this really catchy song play ("shlibby dibby doo da") while you wandered around in the dark.

Note: I am actually referencing Mario. I am far too stupid in the ways of technology to be a internet pirate. I am, however, deft in seafaring knowledge and am looking for a new crew again after walking plank #318. You can find me at the corner of Bedlam and Squalor selling my body so I can afford another beer.

Lol. Considering Eidos are letting people talk about it on their own forums, I think we're safe.

I took a wee look on /v/ (Yeah, I know) and there was a crazy amount of praise for it (Which is strange for /v/)

Is there any videos up yet? I can't seem to track anything down.

Game is great.

Took me a while to get the control scheme comfortable because the game wasn't picking up the extra buttons on my G9, but once I did, what an experience.

The Detroit Hub is massive compared to the hubs in the first game, with a shitload to explore, plenty of missions to pick up, and so far the story is excellent (with some great tie-ins and in-jokes from the original game).

Playing the game has probably made the wait till release a bit harder, but it has allayed my fears as well. This is definitely going to be a GOTY contender.

Maybe it's because I stopped shortly after running around the first hub, but honestly it's given me a contented feeling, knowing that when I do get the game it will be at least as awesome as it is now, barring of course if they fuck up the ending.

I've replayed the warehouse mission 4 times now (so various friends could see the different ways to go at it), and I'm still digging it. I won't mind shelling out 60 bucks for this on release.

Personally I would give the beta build a go if my PC could run it, so I'm watching videos on youtube of beta build gameplay and it looks good, sure the first video I watched was narrated by a guy who was just a bit too picky about everything but to me the game looks good and I feel better about the pre-order I placed way back in January.

I think it's safe to say that Eidos have come out of this whole thing pretty bloody well.

They're handling it well, and there's been pretty much universal praise for the game, even in the far from release stage that it's in. I think there will be a noticeable increase in pre orders over the next few weeks.

All the evidence is pointing towards this "leak" being intentional, and good on them for taking the risk if that's the case.

I broke down and watched the opening part on Youtube. From what I saw it looked good and there is definitely multiple developments that all seem very promising. Combat looks alright but with regenerative health (at least in the opening) it was tiring to see the old formula of shoot, get shot, then duck for 10 seconds. If I have the money it'll be a day 1 purchase. Many of my friends want to play it so the only thing I can do is hope the rest of the game has the same amount of quality from what I saw. Plus, that was an unfinished build.

Even with my HP Envy 14 laptop, I can play this with all settings max, smooth as butter. But damn, I'm loving this game too much and don't want to get too invested, so mostly rushing before I delete the "demo" and fap continuously until the release.

They've fucking nailed it.
