I'm starting to see Rose Quartz in a different light, as Steven is starting to do as well. At first, we all thought she was this sweethearted woman who loved freeing the gems and was the Mary Sue of Steven Universe despite her past is mysterious. Now as time goes on, we're finding out more and more sketchy things about her, disturbing and 'questionable' deeds she has done.

Heck color me surprised if she's not somewhat evil. I'm not saying like the 'Muhaha' evil but rather, the kind of ruler whom is willing to sacrifice her own people to keep the rally going in a war. I don't blame her for silencing her smith to ensure a rebellion doesn't break out among the ranks, but Rose also keeps secrets from her closest Gems.


That's not including how Rose shattered Pink Diamond ... which is hypocrisy since she poofed her smith for wanting to shatter other gems under the rule of the Diamonds so, it's an ironic situation.

Besides that, every episode so far has been awesome. I loved the episodes with Jasper, along with how close Peridot and Lapis are getting. Also nobody likes Lars- please stop making an episode focused around him. Whether it's trying to prove he's going to change or he'll remain a dick, no one cares.

I don't see the hypocrisy here in fact you can argue that Rose shattering Pink Diamond was the cause of poofing Bismuth after Bismuth made gem shattering weapons because she witness first hand the horror of shattering gems

NO YOU'RE WRONG AND I'M RIGHT BECAUSE I SAID SO!!! HOW DARE YOU QUESTION ME DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?!

Lulz. All jokes asides, that might be the most likely scenario. Rose didn't mean to, and knowing she literally killed someone caused her to never allow herself or anyone shatter a gem regardless of the circumstance. I must admit, deep down I want Rose to be a flawed person and not a 'innocent' gem that so happened to do a few wrong things. I want Steven to eventually meet his mom and argue with her about why killing Pink Diamond was a horrid action regardless of what occurred.

Heck it would destroy the 'mothers are usually the best people to look up to' trope, where the protagonist's mom is a saint whom is a great person regardless of the past. I want Rose to have some serious issues that needs tackling, but I digress ... anything goes at this point. I think the creator of the show is clever / smart enough to keep our interests despite the outcomes and satisfy us regardless.

I think both the writers and Rose herself know that Rose isn't a perfect person

I just know sites like Tumblr is known for amplifying the worst things about the Internet. Twitter too (see what Scarim Coral just said). This and nearly every other fan base needs to be policed. It's really getting out of hand.

(I'm agreeing with you btw, but the moment you start talking about policing people feel their freedom of speech is being invaded. Ironically, the 'sjw' movement that started this entire discussion originally came from the vein of individually policing people when it was pretty obvious no legal action would be taken against multiple serial harassers like swatters or doxers.)

I've mentioned this before dunno if it was on here or not, but Monster Hunter had a huge problem with fans threatening to kill people over having difficulty with the games. When games that were like ME started to be released and the communities were a lot nicer, we just need people willing to say "no, stop this attitude".
