So that's "The Simpons Guy." How did you like it?

I didn't care to watch it and was kind of annoyed by The Simpson's season premier. For the past couple of weeks, there have been nothing but teasers and, previews promising that somebody was going to die, something huge is going to happen and...it was just the stunt-death of a special-guest character. Oh well...I played me some Earthbound instead. I haven't been too big on Family Guy in years anyway.

The joke being that Family Guy and The Simpsons have to 'carry' Bob's burgers because its not getting the ratings, when in my opinion Bob's burgers is far beyond either of the other two.

that's a shame...because bobs burgers is actually funny...its like the Simpsons when it was at its best

I'll have to agree with you. I gave it many chances but its just not my style. And ratings tend to back my opinion up as the majority. Sorry Bob's lovers, but its true its damn true.

I'm not gonna lie whatever merits family guy has (which I'mnot doubting even if the show isn't my thing) it does the "Team America" thing, it has innate appeal to the lowest common denominator...the Simpsons too (although to a lesser extent depending on who you ask)

Overall episode: weird pace, style not satisfactory for me (LOOK AT US, we are DOING THIS CROSSOVER WINKWINK). Worst chicken fight ever..., but i did grin and chuckle a few times.

I think the chicken fight is my least favorite gag ever. They aren't interesting to me at all. The first was uncomfortable, the second was unwanted, and now I know its okay to do emails or maybe chat on the phone or grow a beard or binge watch on Netflix while I wait for the chicken fight to be over and the episode move along.
