What low post count rule? I've never heard of this before.
of COURSE you haven't, with your dragon avatar and your 6900 posts and your blackjack and your hookers and you-

Actually, what ARE you talking about, OP? I know there's a low content rule for posts, but not a low post count rule for users.

One word posts annoy me.

A wall of text for a topic and/or a person looking for honest well-formed opinions gets, "Yup." At least drag it out into a sentence or two. lol

What I find irritating is that it applies to images and videos. Have the mods not heard of the phrase "A picture is worth a thousand words"?

I'd much prefer to read someone's opinion or personal experience related to the topic of discussion than wade through loads of "first" or "WTF?" posts; I'm entirely behind the rule.

To stop people from posting 1-2 word replies and to encourage discussion. Its not really that hard to grasp and its actually really difficult to break the rule.

This forum _is_ 4chan with no real discussion and a whole heap of longwinded rubbish. Just because you add a few more characters doesn't mean there's actual discussion going on

Sometimes a picture says all you need to say

Sometimes a picture says all you need to say

(A picture AND an explanation can be like saying the same thing twice,)

I don't mind it. It's not as though they require a full page or anything. Just something longer than a couple of words. There isn't much you could actually add to a conversation under the limit anyway. "Me too" or "I agree" or "^ This" doesn't really continue the discussion.

I feel this is a reply to my post, even though you didn't quote me. Alright, maybe so, you have a point, smart bullshit is still bullshit, no? But at least by typing with good form and correct spelling you improve your knowledge of your language, so its more positive than by using "txt speech" right? It almost has to be.

I tried to post just YES on a topic a while ago. I intended for my brevity to emphasize the fact that I really meant "Yes" and would think of the topic no other way.

And then I got in trouble for low post content.

I guess they didn't get it.

We have. And I honestly believe that phrase is untrue.
Images and videos are meant to be secondary and used as a way to further your point. They should not dominate the post.

I see the point of it, but similarly, I feel that padding out perfectly workable replies can inadvertently lead to misunderstandings regarding stuff that was written and not thought through.

I recently got a warning because although I specifically quoted, wrote words, and posted two pictures, it was still deemed "low content"
