Aaaaaand, it looks kinda weak...
Bioware is in a bit of a weird spot, right now. The Mass Effect 3 ending debacle which removed a lot of goodwill wasn't really recuperated with the lukewarm, albeit mostly positive reception of Dragon Age: I, which then got massively embarrased by The Witcher 3 which seemed to have soured the way people look back at DA: I now. Despite that, and despite lacking a decent advertising campaign, hype for Mass Effect seemed to have risen up again, but I've noticed a few tendencies and a similar mentality to the release of Fallout 4, so I'll make a (not very bold) prediction right now.
Mass Effect Andromeda will be recieved in the same way Fallout 4 was and is. Solid and positive reception at release, but after a few months people look back at it and go "yeeesh, wasn't really all that good, was it".
The similarities I've noticed is the same that an overall negative mentality concerning Bethesda type of gameplay had gotten a decent presence (in online communities, game still sold like hotcakes among normies), and people didn't really seem to want yer typical Bethesda game, or atleast appreciate it as much as Skyrim was before release. They had gotten tired of the awful combat, the boring writing, shit quests and crap RPG mechanics.
I see the exact same thing happening to Bioware games in general now. People lament the boring combat, awful animations, terrible fetchquests (when it comes to DA:I), rigid and unimaginative structure (count how many people who've said "please don't let it be an ancient evil" despite it being quite obviously the case) and, for the lack of a better word, "gimmicky" writing 8all the interesting bits are the characters, who you interact with in the exact same fucking way you've done for the past 20 years).
It's of course possible that I might be wrong, but this really looks like after the games release Bioware's reputation will be lowered substantially, and even opinions of their past games will be soured, since like with Bethesdam the people have gotten tired of the whole shebang and want new things.
