How many games do you want to re-buy?freakydan said:Alright, so my 360 recently died on me, and I'm trying to get as many games that I had for 360 on my PS3. I'm not looking for any console wars here, I love both equally, it's just easier to buy a few games each paycheck than to save up for a new 360.
Well http://www.walmart.com/ip/Half-Life-2-Orange-Box-PS3-PS3/5903225, but seems to be out of stock now.TheEggplant said:Are you in the U.S.? I don't have an exact number, I'm just hitting the Gamestop every week or two and picking up what I spot. The Orange Box is the main one I'm looking for. I just picked up Arkham Asylum, Sonic Ultimate Genesis Collection, and X-Men Origins Wolverine last night. I just can't seem to find a copy of The Orange Box. I might need to go ahead and buy it off of eBay or something.Cowabungaa said:How many games do you want to re-buy?
Well I asked because, y'know, Xbox's are filthy cheap nowadays. Might just be cheaper to buy one instead of rebuying all your games, if you have a lot of them that is.freakydan said:I don't have an exact number, I'm just hitting the Gamestop every week or two and picking up what I spot. where is grainger games, in Nottingham Town Centre there is:Distorted Stu said:Its a shame you dont live in Britian. You can pick up Orange box for £3 from Grainger games.
The first store opened in Newcastle and has slowly started to creep down south over the years. You'll soon get one and call it your God... like every Northen gamer in the UK has...fragmaster09 said:where is grainger games, in Nottingham Town Centre there is:Distorted Stu said:Its a shame you dont live in Britian. GAME
and
GAMESTATION
and GAMESTATION is owned by GAME anyway and they both have the same games, with GAME having the family-friendly ones as well and GAMESTATION having used parts of consoles(like an Xbox 360 power cable for £4.95)... other than that they are the same(except atmosphere(the reason they didn't just change GAMESTATION to GAME was they wanted GAMESTATION to have a 'gamer atmosphere' and GAME to have a 'family gaming atmosphere'

oh okay, ill get the store before London, seeing as how i am LITERALLY IN THE MIDDLE OF ENGLAND(horizontally&vertically(it makes me wonder why London is Capital, shouldn't the City in the very Centre be Capital seeing as we have much more pleasant accents and are out of the age of having somewhere thrive because A-it has a big river for a dock to be put on. or B- it used to have good farming land but it's all been replaced by concrete.?)
It's pretty far out of warantee, plus it's not actually flashing the RROD just yet. It's just not reading games properly, so it'd have to be some pretty poor customer service to give me a new one. I'm not particularly bothered by having to buy my games back, it gives me a chance to trim some of the fat from my collection. If I'm not willing to buy some games a second time, I don't really need them in the first place. I'm just a bit confused as to why The Orange Box is so friggin expensive. I do think eBay is looking much more reasonable, though, thanks to my trusty fellow Escapists.ZeZZZZevy said:that's a strange discrepancy, usually amazon is better than that.
As said before, keep shopping around, you're bound to find a better deal (or do it through steam, even my POS laptop can run the games that come on that)
and are you sure you can't just get your xbox replaced? argue with customer service a little (sure it's a hassle but it can be worth your time)
That sucks, mine had a similar problem (it eventually devolves into burning lines into your disks) but I was lucky to still get it repaired. If it's that far out of warranty they probably wouldn't help you though.freakydan said:It's pretty far out of warantee, plus it's not actually flashing the RROD just yet.
