I like the new theme. Very appropriate for a game that features "Dragon Shouts."

Oh, I found this as well

That is ungodly epic.
Shivers down my friggen spine.
At first I found that the themes clashed with each other. 'Bout halfway through, though,

EDIT: Goddamnit, ninja'd.

Apparently, the Oblivion and Skyrim themes are built off of the Morrowind theme. I think that's what the sound director said in that Game Informer peice (which was an interesting video that I shall post)

So I wanted to know the Escapists veiws on it both musically and gamewise, me personally. Though I like the big drums they dont really do it for me, but once it gets to the main theme from both Morrowind and Oblivion it gets the memories of those games coming back and its just awesome.
Sounds like manly pirates! i like that!

I really like this take on the theme. Honestly, while I'm not a huge fan of either Morrowind or Oblivion, I always loved the main theme in those games.

I'm still gonna buy Skyrim though, I just can't help myself.

I would note that what has been published so far is not the entire theme; and was probably specially modified for the sake of the trailer. So, we've still got an interesting bit of music to look forward to - music that will probably sound the same, but will probably not have such a long buildup with such a short payoff.

As the Pirates of the Caribbean series postdated Morrowind (the original source of the melody found in all three modern Elder Scrolls games) by a year, it is solely coincidence... or perhaps group concept genesis.

You may have (probably did) already know this, but for general knowledge's sake, that's the story.

Not bad. I like it. I'd have to say that my favourite is the Morrowind one, though.

Holy blimy shittington that was awesome, this it seemed a little bit muddled in the middle. If they took out the Morrowind part in the middle then I reckon it'd sound perfect.

It maybe be a bit too Pirates of the Caribbean-ish, but still, it's very good in my opinion
I was dreading when someone brought that up. Morrowind came out before Pirates, way back in 2002, a whole year before Pirates. It's actually weird to think that POTC is that old actually, coming out in 2003.

But anyway, I still maintain that POTC stole the Morrowind music. ;P

OT: As for that epic Skyrim theme, the first thing I think of when I hear 'Skyrim' is snow vikings, so when I think about that with this theme I can soundly come to the conclusion that it is PERFECT.
