So there's this girl and she is super hot, and I like her. Now, I am not what you would call appealing to the opposite sex; I am pretty short and kind of weird. But this girl is hot, smart, and is about my height! The one problem is that I don't know how to talk to her. Escapists, please help me figure out how to get this girl to like me.

Couple of rule's when talking to her
1) don't be an ass hat
2) be yourself even if it conflicts with rule 1
3) try and sound confident girls like confident but don't be too confident they don't like that
4)be nice compliment her once in a while don't over do it that's creepy
5)avoid geeky and nerdy subjects unless she's into that sort of stuff like anime, manga, video games, comics. you know the regular geek stuff
6) don't be touchy feely that creeps girls out alot it's how I got my restraining order

I was about to right most of this. Should probably follow my own advice some time...

Heh I'm the same as you , I can give advice but when it comes to it I'm horrible at it myself xD But my natural charm has worked wonders over the year's so I'm happy ^^

Or maybe, I don't know... Talk to her! Try to end up in her group when doing group projects. Make friends with her friends, that works if you want to Talk to her. Let her know that you exsist.

Personally I would go for the "kidnap" option though.

EDIT: just make sure that you have something in common. If you don't have ANYTHING in common, she's not worth it.

I went out recent on the town and ran into a girl from my IT class that I used to seriously fancy and her boyfriend both of whom I am great friends with, and the guy can do magic tricks!
We were sitting together and chatting about our memories at college and she asked if I used to fancy her and if I used to stare at her in lessons to both of which I sheepishly answered yes. She told me that she used to think I was cute and even thought I had the cutest stutter (number one self esteem issue for me.) which was nice. She asked me why I never asked her out and I just said I'm very shy and awkward so she gave me a hug and kissed me. This was a fairly big revelation for me as it was the first time I've ever confirmed that a girl I liked liked me back, except for one other time but she was just flirting and was pregnant, and getting married... While it maybe depressing that I was never the one to be with her at least I'm happy for her and now I know that I could get a girl if I tired. Her boyfriend then later got very drunk and made out with me.

So yeah point here? I guess just don't let an oppertunity pass, you're probably not as bad as you think you are.



Also alcohol may well be your friend. I find I'm much more confident after a few drinks with any one of any sex. In fact thinking about it probably all of the new friends I've made since college I probably meet when drunk.

I know it's hard to talk to someone when you have a crush on them, but that's all I can really tell you. Just talking to her, maybe sitting next to her at lunch and starting a conversation is a great way to get to know each other. That's how I got to know one of my best friends.
If you're really too shy to talk to her in person, then do it over Facebook. The beauty of the internet is that if you can't talk to them face to face, you can always talk to them online.
I mean, you ARE on a site devoted wholeheartedly to video games; we know all about being socially awkward in the real world.
