Not here it's not.Alrocsmash said:Do any of you realize news is a business? As in profit driven? "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." Grow up.
This. Yeah, I know, his death is big news. But it's been big news for long enough now that I'm pretty sure everyone in the entire world who has a tv or radio or access to the internet now knows about it. They don't need to be talking about it ALL THE TIME.HumpinHop said:Is it really that horrendous? It's six days after it happened and every news program in the country is churning out Osama news constantly. I would think a little break would be welcomed considering how quickly people can become sick of news.
And OFTEN.bdcjacko said:How do we know it was Fox news? I swear some of you all just want to crap of fox news with out any evidence it was them doing that. Also CNN and MSNBC have pulled crap like that before.
If they were american you bet yer balls they would!Carlston said:Dude, I been to several countries, and it's just as bad.
I'm amazed Osama's wife isn't suing for his wrongful death or something or the other...
Ah, an optimist - best of luck with that.Internet Kraken said:It's not that people don't care about important stuff. It's that many people often don't want to constantly hear about it. This can be for a variety of reasons, such as politics often covering subjects that are depressing, uncomfortable, frustrating, etc. People don't want to constantly surrounded themselves with such negativity. Celebrity gossip is something that people can discuss freely without worrying about the implications it could mean for them, hence why so much attention is devoted to it. At least that's what I think about it.
This. You have to expect a 24-hour news channel to stop talking about a certain subject eventually. But on the other hand, the fact that Justin Bieber was the best they could do makes you wonder what the point of all that broadcast time is. I guess the original idea behind it was to let people get the news whenever they get some time free to tune in. But now we have the Internet, which can do the same thing without having to hire people to sit in a studio and repeat themselves several times a day and still make people sit through unimportant stories to get to the ones they care about. Come to think of it, that's what newspapers did before that, so why was there ever a demand for this?AgentNein said:God forbid the endless stream of news about Osama's death is interrupted for thirty seconds.
That didn't sound very optimistic to me, actually. It's pretty depressing that people want so hard to avoid important issues and will drown it out with non-stop entertainment in their ears like a toddler sticking his fingers in his ears and singing "I CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA LA LA LA..."Gildan Bladeborn said:Ah, an optimist - best of luck with that.Internet Kraken said:It's not that people don't care about important stuff. Don't matter, or have you missed all the stories out of Iraq. Guy loads up his wife 4 daughters, and the day after four car bomb attacks on tanks starts driving towards stopping, backing up repeatly around military armored vehicles, gets his car shot up, family killed loses both legs and a arm and then sues the US...JET1971 said:If they were american you bet yer balls they would!Carlston said:Dude, I been to several countries, and it's just as bad.
