Yeah, this has happened to me, and I manipulated it, it was awesome, like being God for a little while.

umm actually..... (according to my limited psychological study knowledge -) You dream when in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, and it has been proven that if you are woken up in this period of sleep, you are vastly more likely to remember having a dream - so its not really 1 in a million, unless you are never interrupted in sleep.

I often become concious that I'm in a dream. When something seems amiss, I look at my watch and it tells me it's 17:03 or some time that I can tell that it clearly isn't. A few nights ago, however, I checked my watch and although the time (in retrospect) fit perfectly with the conditions, I realised I was in a dream.

That would be like Grand Theft Auto on steroids. I'd be willing to pay much more than $60 for that game.

I almost never remember any of my dreams, and if I do only a small part. Also never had this type of "lucid" dream. It'll happen sooner or later I guess.

I used to do it all the time.
If I didn't like a dream, I'd think, "Okay, I'm going to wake up now" and force myself to wake up. It was pretty cool.
I usually tell myself "I'm going to dream about [whatever] tonight" and I do.

Well I want to become a pilot, maybe a cessna if I get rich someday, and I keep having this dream where I am in some aircraft (once it was a CF-18 sometimes its a simple Cessna) flying along for a while, enjoying my time in the air and suddenly I hear "Missile Lock" repeated by one of those female announcers that planes always have in games and movies. Then the tail of the plane explodes and I go flying out the windshield (I know, too much GTA 4) down thousands of feet and when I hit the ground, I wake up with a lurch. Those ones always scare the shit outta me, especially since it starts as one of my lifes goals and ends up with me dying in a pretty bad way. I wish I could lucid dream so next time I hear that missile lock warning I can try and avoid it.

Anyway, lucid dreams are awesome. I've figured out my own personal trick to them: try to fly. I've embedded that idea so far into my subconscious that most of the time, when I dream, I'll at least attempt it - and as soon as I leave the ground I know I'm dreaming, and I can go anywhere.
I'm going to try that sounds like it would work..

Supposedly there is a way to dream like that all the time, and it's supposed to be the best virtual reality ever.
Also Has anybody ever felt like as you wake up you feel like you fall into your bed? like if you were levitating above it and suddenly just fall into it. I felt it a couple of times and it always scares me

It's called lucid dreaming, and every time I realize I'm dreaming, I always tell myself to wake up instead of asking for a naked horny Jessica Alba in front of me. It's weird.

Be that as it may, not everyone is woken up in the REM period.

Yes I've experienced this kind of dream before and if you concentrate hard enough you can control the dream.
