Although I enjoyed a few of his videos once upon a time, he stuck up a really big middle finger to his fan base by appearing in that Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode. You know the one.

I think I remember that. Wasn't it some kind of sodomy joke he made on twitter that somebody took poorly and it basically got him fired from whatshisfacewiththeglasses? He certainly wasn't accused of actual sodomy I hope.
2 of his co-contributors had gotten together, and he made a joke about how if it doesn't work out, he'd take her and imprison her in his basement sex dungeon or words to that effect.

He then went and dug himself in deeper afterwards by arguing with some of the others about it.
Huh, small world. I was just reading up on that fiasco the other day.

From what I gathered he is bi-polar type 2 and was in a major depression at that time with effected his working life. This already put tension in his working relationship. He made said joke, meaning it as a BDSM joke. Some people took it as a rape joke. it exploded into a childish s&*t storm of some of the contributes on TGWTG trying to calm him down and others jabbing at him and giving him shit. This eventually led to him getting the boot from TGWTG. Funnily enough the person whom he made the joke about/to didn't seem to really care, I think they are still friends even, it was other people that got offended.

Fun Fact: Apparently TGWTG has a history of drama and BS. Is a fun read if you need to kill an hour or two.

Wow, I remember his stuff. He was pretty big, guess he still is. If those allegations are true, that's a real shame since he certainly seemed like a decent guy. Was never a fan of his, but it would suck if the allegation is true, but until it's confirmed either way, I won't jump to conclusions, which is how I view any sort of story like this.

However, it's not crazy to think someone could be huge on the internet without you knowing. Especially with Youtube's near infinite amount of videos and content creators, never hearing about some huge ones isn't crazy to think about. I may be a fan of PeanutButterGamer, he's pretty big, with over a million subs. However, I would not be surprised to find out most people reading this comment had never heard of him, despite being a successful internet personality.

You mean the due that teamed up with The Annoying Orange to create barely two(?) seasons of The Annoying Orange? I head that show was popular with the kids... unlike that animated Mad series with it's 100+ episodes...

Other than that, I just realized that I strangely miss not seeing [new] episodes of Mad...

Seriously, who cares if the dude has action figures? If he can sell them to a certain market, let him. It doesn't affect you in any way.
Is it caring that I just find it really really odd?

So the child plays with the action figure... and that action figure manages it's play youtube account on it's play computer? Do you see what I'm trying to say?

You take the wrestler dolls, okay they can "wrestle" each other. Thats what I mean by not doing much, what are they doing from a childs point of view that a child would emulate with a doll?

I do a lot with my job too, but some how I don't think DUDEISTBELIEVE: OVERNIGHT SECURITY OFFICER PLAYSET would sell very well.
Y'know, when I was a little kid I had some Barbie set - I want to say it was Doctor Barbie or something, I dunno. But she was definitely cast in some domestic job. I'd take that Barbie and played castles sieges with it.

What the doll's "supposed" to do doesn't matter, because kids are going to do whatever the hell they want with it. If they get bored having pretend-Toby edit pretend-Youtube, then they'll feed him to a pretend-dragon.

Yes. If you didn't care...how should I say this, then you wouldn't care. As it stands, you've repeatedly questioned this. Let me show you what a person who didn't care would have done:

Took me a moment to realize that Toby Turner is Tobuscus. Also, if anyone's curious about the toy...

We live in a bizarre time.

EDIT: Though, if I'm to be honest, I'd totally buy a Danny Sexbang action figure.

Danny Sexbang is the Internet's substitute teacher that wants people to think he's cool than he is. Honestly he's one of the most irritating people on the planet.

Yes out of curiosity, a need for basic understanding because I cant imagine how a child plays with such a toy.

To phrase that I care, somewhat implies have dome sort of stakes or actively am campaigning that we should get rid of them. I kinda feel DoPo's reaction is unwarranted.

Technically, he wasn't booted from TGWTG. He was suspended, and while suspended, he decided that TGWTG and he were going in different directions in business terms, and he made the choice to leave the site. That's according to Noah (Spoony, if you didn't know). And yeah, he was diagnosed with bipolar 2 after the fact.

For the REAL TGWTG drama and BS story, I think what happened to Obscurus Lupa fits the bill better.

Anyway, have any of you heard of this guy? Is he actually a big deal?
Eh.

Tobuscus was good for a few laughs a couple years ago, now he's joined the PewDiePie Gestalt alongside Markiplier and Jackscepticeye and what I'm sure is a solid good ten or twelve other picture-in-picture LP gurus.

If I feel like watching a Let's Play, I'll watch someone who knows what he's doing - most of these guys barely even try because they don't need to. All they need is a string of silly deaths, a couple dozen brain-farts and a userbase in need of entertainment. Out of all of them, TearOfGrace is probably the least annoying. Even then, his "teetering on the verge of homicidal rage" act can sometimes get old.

At least none of 'em are DarkSydePhil; this guy's inept on all levels imaginable.

Honestly, the best LPs out there come out of the no-commentary clique or some of the older gents, like Gopher, Scott Manley or Checkers Prefect. Those three do talk over their footage, but their input actually provides something. In Gopher's case, you get to see a gamer's thought processes voiced aloud, or hear his in-character musings if he's playing any one of his current RPG titles. Manley started as a Kerbal Space Program player, and his background in Astrophysics makes his playthrough particularly interesting. If you ever need a detailed explanation for how the heck it is Hohmann transfers need to be planned in-game, he's got you covered.

Checkers, on the other hand, is the guy to go to if you're looking for a strangely Zen approach to occasionally hectic titles like Fallout 4. He's in his fifties and it somehow shows - he has a very methodical and cerebral approach to both active gameplay and LP commentary. His vids are a good way to zone out or relax, even if he's playing a more run-and-gun type of game.

Ya know, I'm going to check those guys out because thats kinda what I want to do when I get my stream up and running. I kinda find most streamers kinda money grubbing and obnoxious. The only one I ever really like, I started following this guy Trihex just because he seemed like a chill guy just playing Super Nintendo.

I tell ya, my love for that site really died once it came to light that they all really didn't get along with each other. Felt the same way when I found out Adam and Jamie from Mythbusters don't like each other.

Is it just me, or do all of these allegations where evidence should be able to be provided (text messages, photos of when you're together and so on) generally have little to no evidence and people believe it anyway?
I understand why, serious issue and all, but if they're serious, take it to court and have him defend himself. Bring everything you can to bury him if is true.

There's probably a thousand YouTube celebs that no one has heard of. Who you know depends on where your interests lay. As for this Turner fellow, never seen him once.

We would need a full set though:

[ul]
[li]Danny Sexbang[/li]
[li]Ninja Brian[/li]
[li]The Manticore[/li]
[li]Danny's Noble Steed (Barry)[/li]
[li]The Dragon (not some guy Danny found at the bus station in a dragon suit)[/li]
[li]The Dick Elders (once the music video for 6969 is released)[/li]
[/ul]

Accessories for your Ninja Set Party collection include different kimonos, gay Ninja Brian, The Ultimate Sandwich, The Shut The Fuck Up Fairy, and the Attitude City clothing pack.

And now if you don't mind, I'm gonna be off writing my business plan for this venture.

Have you ever heard of Cryaotic? He's part of that "youtube gestalt," but he's... actually pretty chill. Doesn't overract or pretend to be angry or anything. His commentary probably isn't as informative as those guys', but... I like him.
