I still look forward to my birthdays, Christmases and various other holidays, though since I'm still seventeen it's understandable. I suspect I will start dreading ageing in the years to come.

In my eyes, it's basically a second Christmas when you're younger. Just like Christmas, as you get older, the date gets less and less important until it doesn't matter any more.
Also, congrats on getting born on the same day I was. It's a pretty awesome day almost every year. Have a good one.
