Yeah I know a guy with a birthday on Christmas and he hates it too - I think he just always felt like he was being conned out of his presents by God.
Along with Christmas my family's birthdays are all one month apart giving us what seems like a never-ending stream of gift buying in the coldest months of the year: October is my brother's, November is my mum's, December is Christmas, January is my dad's and February is my own.

My birthday is a week before Christmas and it's never been a problem for me. Early on I learned about combining birthday and Christmas gifts for a bigger gift. My parents went along with it with the understanding that I'd have to wait until Christmas for my birthday gift. They always gave me something on my birthday though, just something small along with a cake my mom made. As I grew older I decided to pretend that all the holiday decorations, good cheer and parties were for my birthday, and that's pretty fun to do. All you December babies out there, I urge you to take all the decorations as the world cheering for your birth.
