So was any one happy with anything this year?

I wasn't overjoyed with gears 2 but it filled the niche i needed it too. No More Heroes and MGS4 pretty much made my year. L4D was by far the best online experiance ive had. Fallout 3 sucked up my free time just like oblivion did, go figure. LBP was fun and changed things up a bit I suppose. I need to play mirrors edge and prince of persia.

Fallout 3 was awesome and is my personal pick for RPG/Game of the Year.

Gears of War 2 had fun multiplayer and is my runner up for multiplayer game of the year.

Left 4 Dead is chaotic good fun and is my multiplayer game of the year.

Also, I liked GTA IV, thought I did miss the lack of wacky melee weapons and such.

(Please, don't quote my post and say things like "What? Fallout 3 as Game of the Year? You should pick whatever-game-I-liked-and-for-some-silly-reason-you-did-not, instead", because you are not going to change my opinion. Thank you.)

I am so glad I bought Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia after reading the Escapist's review. Easily the best Castlevania of the action RPG type, even better than SotN and very reminiscent of Castlevania 3.

Plus World of Goo was fantastic, and I'm sure Persona 4 is going to be another favorite of mine.

Mirror's Edge, World of Goo, Audiosurf, Braid, Castle Crashers, Dead Space, and the as-yet-to-come Prince of Persia. And those are just the ones I own, or will shortly. This was a fucking awesome year for gaming, especially Q4.

I didn't care for GTA IV, but I did like Gears 2. And I don't care what you guys say- I want to play the new Prince of Persia.

Too be honest, I wasn't really satisfied with anything this year.

Well there's Fallout 3 but was initially disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I did not want it to be like Fallout 1 and 2. It's just that it's to samey with Oblivion(Oh! and the crashes).

But overall still a great game. 72 hrs now and not even done with the main quest! yeah.

Also a little charming game called World of Goo made me smile again.

Fallout 3 was everything I expected to be. The only people who hate, and I'll say again, hate this game are the Fallout 1&2 fanboys who expected this one to be some kind of isometric tactical sequel to fill their goey desires.

Well too bad children. It's a great great game and a wonderful sequel, sorry if we, you know, actually have to move on past outdated gameplay mechanics.

THANK YOU. I liked Fallout 1 and 2. I did. I loved Fallout 3. I did. And guess what? THEY'RE ALL GOOD. It's just taht Fallout 3 was modeled to represent what the market desires.

I only got one Friday because I had finally scratched up enough money to buy one, I'm in one of those "you want it, you earn the money yourself" kind of families, although I have played the thing before, back when we rented out a room in our house, the guy had a 360, I used that before he moved out in the beginning of the year.
