So... Was anyone else disapointed by the design of DIABLO?

Diablo in Diablo III looks a lot like Alien from the Alien movies...and this seems fine by me.

Always did actually. Not so much in a still shot, but the way he moved about on all fours and then stood on two legs to fight. It was surely an inspiration, or at least that's what he always reminded me of. He had sort of a beast-like quality, as in not completely humanoid.

As for the whole "possession" and him morphing or whatever, I read somewhere that he takes the deepest fears of the 'host' and projects them into the form he shifts into when the time comes.

Guy from D1? Big spiky humanoid. D2? Big spiky bestial humanoid that runs like a dog. D3?

Too skimpy to be anything other than (creepy) fan service, but existent enough to not just be brushed aside as an aesthetic stamp.

Personally (and with seriousness) I would have liked them to go tits out and gone with a full sexualization co-opted by demonic aspects (primarily Belial) being used for sin-based boss moves and dialogue that were meant to creep you the fuck out.

Now THAT would have been a good boss fight.
