So what are YOU getting from the Steam Summer Sale?

So many games I want, but I probably won't get as it will require reinstalling Steam on my desktop

But all it does is sit in the system tray?

It doesn't even do that if, like me, you only open it when you want to play a game.

I got Team Fortress. Other than that the sale is just full of old games I already own or don't care enough to buy.

I would be willing to snap up Metro 2033 if I could get it cheap enough, but even that I probably wouldn't spend over 7.50 for.

Yeah but all the unlocks now require you to spend $1 or something.

EDIT: Free unlocks once you pay $1 to get the full version.

I honestly think the best deal showing up right now is def the THQ pack. 50 bucks, which is the price of a single new release and you get a lot of really awesome games. Darksiders, Dawn of War 2, plus it's expansion, CoH which in my opinion is one of the best strat games to be released.

Not sure I've got enough games to finish before Deus Ex Human Revolution comes out. However that has not stopped steam prying open my wallet before. If something comes up that I haven't had a chance to play already I'll buy it.

Oh really? I guess I misread the timer, I thought it only had an hour left when I bought it.

I just bought The Witcher 2, despite telling myself to wait for it to get even cheaper, but oh well, I'm sure I'll like it! Besides, CD Projekt is a wonderful company, both for the Witcher and for GoG, so I don't mind giving them my money.

I'm really glad the Steam Summer Sale finally started, but still, goodbye money, it was nice knowing you. I'm not sure what to get yet, for now I'm just looking at the daily offers, there's usually something interesting each day.
