I'm doing absolutely nothing for Halloween. In fact, I might just cloister myself in my house, turn off all of the visible lights in the house and find somewhere to go read something. Well, that is if I'm not working or otherwise engaged. My time for costumes and pretence has passed.

Have you considered moving somewhere that Halloween isn't part of the cultural background?

Here in Australia I've only ever seen Halloween used as a slightly less common excuse for a piss up (rather than the usual Birthday, public holiday, house warming, religious holiday, day ending in 'y' excuses). Other than that, apart from maybe one or two shops putting up crappy orange decorations, you don't hear or see shit about it.
