As an Xbox1 owner, I can tell you the cable thing isn't really all too bad but we never use it. Hell we disconnected and returned our HD box since we watch most of our stuff online now (Netflix, Hulu+ and WWE Network). As far as the gaming portion, I enjoy the hell out of it but I really am waiting on more games to be released. I wouldn't have bought it except that the deal was too good to pass on. I do like the new controller (and they work when plugged into a USB port on a PC just fine) and Dead Rising 3 is a blast.
IF you're committed to your Gamertag, then I recommend going ahead and getting one but I remind you that there's precious little to play as of right now. I remember waiting about 1.5 years for XB360 to really show something of value and it did. PS3 took about 3 or 4 years before I went and got one. Now we've got everything except a WiiU...
*shrug* Its not a bad system, it runs quite well but the loading and install times can be a hassle.
