I got a rotten book, a nice shirt and some cash. The cash is being liberally distributed across the Steam sale. So far I've picked up Street Fighter 4 Arcade and Xeno Clash (which I know nothing about but it was 69p and reviewers called it "unique" so what the hell) and am currently eyeing up Castle Crashers- it seems like it'd be fun if I could convince one of my Steam chums to get it too.

$300. 200 of which is going straight to fund my books for next semester. The final 100 will be spent liberally tomorrow on a new set of headphones and a cheap webcam. Optionally I could put it towards a new graphics card to replace my built in chipset. Kinda conflicted on that cause I really need a nice pair of new headphones.

A barn coat, finally got rid of that cheap synthetic winter jacket and upgraded to something that can take a beating and is incredibly warm. Has pockets everywhere so that is a major bonus.

Finally Chocolate. 2 bars. One is white chocolate Toblerone, chocolate of the gods! The other is a really big bar of hershy's cookies and cream, chocolate of those who didn't quite make it to gods!

And while tecnically not a gift I worked pretty much the entire week at my part time job and racked up a good number of hours so my paycheck this friday is going to make me very very happy.

Funny, I'll be getting a new Line 6 amp for my guitar pretty soon, according to my father. Been a while since I could play, I haven't had an amp for something like a year.

Also, OP, is that Glamdring? Because if it is, I'm extremely jealous.

A bunch of food, and quite a bit of money. Money is always the best gift I think because you can simply use it to buy something you'll actually enjoy, rather than run the risk of forking out money for a gift that will have no other purpose than gather dust in the corner. As far as that money goes, I got myself the Icewind Dale trilogy boxset, Planescape: Torment and a few music albums by the bands Candlemass, Atlantean Kodex and Solstice, whether anyone on here knows those bands, I have no clue. Still got some of my Christmas money left over which I'm saving, probably to get the third English-translated Witcher book when it's released.

Pretty damn happy, to be honest. Had a good meal with the family and got some stuff I'll enjoy most immensely, so yeah :D

Not sure if that metal thing at your ear is part of the guitar or a really crazy earring...

OT: Not much because I never need anything but I did get the big Campbell, which is a 1300 pages biology book packed with knowledge that will surely come in handy for uni.

I also managed to score an old ps1 JRPG named Saga frontier.

Our family is more into funny presents other than extravagant gifts.

Jealousy commenced.

I got everything I wanted. I got to make my family smile on Christmas day. We're pretty hard up this year, and my parents wanted to see a certain show next year but hadn't the money to go - the tickets sold out quickly too.

So my sister and I bought tickets for them, and spoiled them with a couple of other nice things. My mum was so touched she nearly cried and dad was speechless. Christmas might not be about just presents, but when you can use them to show just how much you care about someone, then it is a wonderful thing.

My sister also got me a 'Wreck This Journal' which is cool.

I got a fairly decent haul:

- £30 in iTunes vouchers (I rely on these as I have don't have a credit card)
- Assorted toiletries and things to make me smell less sweaty (always good)
- 5 calendars (no excuse for forgetting stuff in 2013!)
- Quite a lot of books (I'm gonna need a bigger book-case!)
- A lightweight cotton Polo shirt (In black, naturally)
- Socks (Manly ones from CAT - now all I need's a bulldozer to go with them!)
- Crate of Peroni (already doing damage to it!)
- "Posh" bottle of Stella Artois (It had a cork in it like champagne!)
- Jeremy Clarkson's War Stories DVD
- "Jesus Soap" to cleanse me of my sins (This will only be used to clean my dangly bits when I've "sinned")
- Guitar multitool (Genius little keyring shaped like a guitar that incorporates flathead and posi-drive bits and a bottle opener)
- A couple of new mugs (Guinness and Pink Floyd: The Wall branded)
- Jack Daniel's hip flask (The instructions clearly state it is for alcohol ONLY and that acidic drinks like fruit-juice will damage it...well who am I to argue?)
- Gloves (Black Leather, serial killer style!)
- Framed photo-portrait of my dear departed doggie, Russ (*Sniffles*)

And the pièce de résistance; my "big" present of the year was...

- A rather sweet, black leather jacket (Much needed as the lining has all but fallen out of my old one!)

So yeah, happy with all that! No games but then again I didn't ask for any and I have enough to be going on with. That said, GTA V is on pre-order and I still need to download Dawnguard and Dragonborn for Skyrim and Take Back Omega for ME3.

Happy Holidays, y'all!

Tons of chocolate, of course. Got a new bathrobe which kicks major ass, because I love walking in bathrobes pretending I'm Hugh Heffner :p (Seriously, it's soo soft). Also got a cooking book called :"fast food". It's got some pretty tasty dishes that can be done rather quickly if you want a snack. The dishes are fancy, but easy to do and ideal to impress people with. My family never was one for gifts, so I'm pretty happy. I love my new bathrobe :)

My haul includes a few Batman DVDs, a bunch of clothing (mostly related to my nerdy interests) and a pair of Rainbow Dash-Themed headphone. All in all, a good haul.
