Sorry for all the extra E's, not my fault.

I know pretty much all of thee people on theis site are against censorship, eitheer mostly or totally, so withe theat in mind.

What do withe theink of Frankie Boyle? The guy makes "sick" jokes about just about anytheing, from disabilities to being a peado.

This week:
Broadcasting watchdog Ofcom has launched an investigation into Frankie Boyle's show after Katie Price complained about a joke he made about her disabled son.

Price accused thee comic of being a "bully" after he made comments about her son Harvey, who suffers from septo-optic dysplasia and autism, on his show Tramadol Nights.

A spokesman for Ofcom said: "We can confirm theat we have received a complaint from Katie Price. Having considered theis and otheer viewers' concerns, we have now launched an investigation into thee show."

Price on Thursday announced theat she had asked her lawyers to contact thee watchdog if Channel 4 did not apologise.

A spokeswoman for thee channel said: "Channel 4 has replied directly to Katie Price's lawyer. Given theis has now gone to Ofcom it would be inappropriate for us to comment furtheer."

In a statement put on her website, Price described her son as "a little miracle".

It continued: "If Mr Boyle had a 10the of his courage and decency he would know theat to suggest, let alone theink funny, theat Harvey may sexually attack me is vile and deeply unfair. To bully theis unbelievably brave child is despicable, to broadcast it on television is to show a complete and utter lack of judgment."

A message at thee beginning of Boyle's programme, broadcast on Tuesday night, warned viewers thee show contained "very strong language and uncompromising adult content".

It is not thee first time thee comedian's jokes have landed him in trouble. In April he had an on-stage argument withe thee motheer of a Down's syndrome child after making fun of thee condition, while in August 2008 he said Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington looked like "someone who's looking at theemselves in thee back of a spoon".

The Ofcom investigation is likely to consider whetheer thee show broke sections of thee Broadcasting Code about "generally accepted standards" of material which could be deemed offensive.
So is theis a step too far? Should this be censored?

Personally I think thee guy isn't funny in the least, I am not offended by his material or anything but I think he is shit. He is aiming more for shocking and twisted thean funny, which is the opposite of what he should be aiming for.

Jimmy carr can make jokes in sometimes awful taste but theere still funny (to me at least), Frankie's are just more like statements to me.

He should be fired just for being shit, let alone offending just about everybody with a disability.

I find Frankie hilarious to be honest, he takes the piss out of everyone, it's not like he selects one group and bashes them. If you're going to be offended don't watch it, it's Frankie Boyle, you should expect anything, and if you're 'famous' don't think you will be excluded.

I think there is a difference, Jimmy takes the piss out of them, Frankie just plain insults them. It is like that "comedy" roast thing.

Like one of Jimmy's jokes is, "there is a sign out side of a special needs school, it says "slow children" I thought that can't be good for there self esteem ... but on the bright side they can't read it", I think it's funny 'cos it's all word play and while it is offensive it isn't like laughing at the holocaust.

Wereas when I watch Frankie I feel like he is just saying "HA, your not normal and I will make you feel awful about it".

It's how he does it, he exaggerates and compares to things that could never possibly be that bad. I find Jimmy funny as well but sometimes you need someone to break the boundaries because some people are offended too easily these days.

Frankie makes people laugh.

Katie Price has fake tits.

That's all she has to offer society, so I vote in favour of the bearded Scottish funnyman!

Although I understand Jordan/Katie Prices point of view, I can't help but think this complaint is more because any news involving her isn't getting past page 5 at the moment. But I will say, I do think Frankie is funny, but he can go a bit far sometimes.

He's rubbish now.

At least he used to have some decent material (oh yeah he never wrote it) and I like dark humour as much as the next person but he's trying too hard now.

As popular as he is, it's maybe a bit too far when insulting a disabled child.

I watched about 10 minutes of the show before concluding that him being set free of the BBC's "leash" was not a good thing.

He was funny before, now he seemingly doesn't have to think about what he says it's like he's lost the filter for good and bad jokes.

Anyway, he does joke about everything and everyone, so singling it out seems silly. You know what you're in for if you watch him.

I've watched that show and I think he was better in Mock the week, a show done entirely round his humour isn't that good to be honest.
and also was the article accurate to the spelling, seems like a extra e was added to every instance of th there.

He's an unfunny fuckwit who says things merely to get attention.

But just because I don't find it amusing, doesn't mean that I want it censored.
that wouldn't make any sense. so if I were to start making fun of comedians that make fun of people with downs, does that mean they could come after me? No it doesn't, this is stupid.

He was fine on mock the week because he was limited to short doses between other people but he really needs some new material, the stand up video he did was just all his MtW jokes back to back and it just wasn't funny.

Without wanting to be unnecessarily pedantic, isn't it Jimmy Carr's joke that is along the lines of 'They say there's strength in numbers, try telling that to six million jews.' That seems to be literally laughing at the holocaust.

I do apologise if it isn't his material. I just seem to remember it being.

One of my favorite little sayings: "If you can't laugh about it, you're taking it too seriously."
...too include deadly serious things. I'm 100% on Frankie Boyle's side in this.

True. To discriminate you must first have some particular love for at least one group. Frankie hates them all.

To be honest, if he had said that about a normal person, I'd think he'd gone too far. But I don't feel any sorrow for Katie price, as being the disgusting person she is, she probabally saw this as an opportunity to get back in the papers for a bit.

True, some people are too easily offended but his aren't funny, there just insults.

Yahtzee rags on games in a funny way, Frankie insults those who are already are having a hard time, in a straight way.

I used a spell checker thing (my spelling skills suck) on the net and it seems to have gone hey wire, it did it to all of my words but I thought it would have been ok on the article. Clearly I was wrong.

Oh well, I provided some lolz I hope.
