one thing i do not want to see at all next gen is going download only, and dropping the media. its just plain stupid and they would loose a ton of customer base where people are not going to want to spend a week trying to dl that 30 gig blu ray game on their crappy internet connection or band limited connection. belive it or not ms and sony there are chunks of the world where some people are on dialup, and other people pay for internet time by the gig and have limited numbers to use. it is not a broadband world just yet.

also cause i feel the need to troll. i think all xbox 1080s should be built to last till like one day past their warranty then explode, keep that market share up.

I personally think the minimal amount of ram in both the xbox 360 (512mbs) and PS3 (256mbs) are bottlenecks for some of the bigger PC games to be ported over- especially RTS games with a lot of units or MMO like giant worlds. Therefore I would like to see about 4 gbs of ram (DDR3?) becoming a standard.

I would like to see quad core processors becoming a standard and game developers actually coding the games to utilize more than 2 cores to take the graphics to the next level.

I know a lot of people on the Escapist claim that the graphics are already realistic enough, but more power does not necessarily need to be applied to making the games more "real". More raw power from the future consoles can be used to make the draw distance larger and more detail to the environment or simply more players being able to mingle in multiplayer (pending internet speeds).

I would also like to see MS and Sony finally come to some middle ground with the MMO devs to finally allow the genre to come to the consoles. I think a 5hr raid will be a bit more comfy when laying on my couch while chatting into a headset rather than sitting in front of a computer screen.

Yeah sure.
But games look 200 times better on a PC. The graphics settings and capabilities out do consoles by a longshot.

EDIT; Sorry forgot to quote.
