I like the ideabehind the hipster culture, being wanted to be seen as an individual, fighting against corporationalism, and trying to show that you do not need the newest accessories to feel good about yourself. The problem is that hipsters tend to become major dickheads, looking down at people who do not conform to their way of living. Basically the idea is good, the execution is bad.

In fifty years, there's going to be a bunch of wrinkly pensioners walking around with three inch diameter holes in earlobes that come down to their shoulders. And I've seen earlobe sagging occur naturally. I can only imagine what this will result in.

The kind of person that writes a poem because they want other people to perceive them as deep and thoughtful, rather than because they actually are deep and thoughtful.
