I am not even sure where it belongs, damn it. Oh well, forgive me mods if I messed up.

*Sigh*

OK, here goes:

About maybe 5 or 6 minutes prior to posting all of this, I went to Final Fantasy subreddit. one person posts: "Which FF games should I start with?".

"Cool"- I think - "I'll help someone out. It's never too late to promote FFVI"

Then this happens. Someone comments: "Pick whichever you like, but stay away from XIII".

And OP asks: "But why? I like it's graphics."

This is where we are now, eh? Final Fantasy franchise. The name that always meant maybe not the best, but beautiful stories, with the most memorable characters and soundtrack... It's games are now judged by graphics.

I know it's petty. I know that I shouldn't have judged this person based on this single comment, even if in my mind only. What if they are young, like 10 or 12 and for them looks really DO matter more than good... Everything else? What if it's simply a person that had little to no contact with FF, not even art, and they don't know what those games are about?

But still. There is so much shit happening in my life now. Maybe that post was the straw that broke the camel.

I shouldn't have been listening to Asgores theme while reading it all, that's for sure.

Oh look, it all sounds like a self pity post. Sorry about that.

Anyhow, what was the last thing that made you feel kind of worse about the state of the world? I am not saying that it has to be the BIGGEST, the most global thing. No, the last one.

Vent it all out, if you wish. But remember:
"Into each life some rain must fall
But too much is falling in mine
Into each heart some tears must fall
But some day the sun will shine"

Know, that sun will shine in all of our lives.

I was catching up on my Colbert and he mentioned to astronaut Scott Kelly that people were doing the 'nae nae'. And I had no idea what it was. So I looked it up, and I watched the music video and then one of Sorority white chicks doing the 'nae nae'.

My soul is forever scared from that. I truly wish I didn't know how fucking stupid and ridiculous the 'nae nae' was. People really do need to just stop dancing, just all together. It always looks ridiculous, and no, its never cool. And the 'nae nae' is the epitome of what dancing truly looks like.

I heard that"***** better have my money!" song by Rhianna, and I was like "This is the same lady that recorded Disturbia?" Then I looked up the song and found out that it took eight people to write it.

This is supposed to be a fun thread, right? Sounds like it should be a fun thread!

Well when I looked at my job...NO! Fun thread tippy2k2!
Well when I looked at my mirror....NO! Damn it! Fun thread tippy2k2!
Well last time I looked at my life...>DAMN IT! This is hard :(

Oh! When XCOM 2 became PC-only. As I have stated repeatedly, my PC is basically a box with a hamster in it on a wheel. I would be forced to buy a new PC in order to play and that's just very unlikely. I am hoping Firaxis changes their mind and hooks my console brothas up but as of now, it is unlikely that I will ever get to play XCOM 2. It's hard enough to find good TRPGs on the console so when they took it away, a little piece of me died.

I remember when I was younger, I saw Rihannas S.O.S. clip and I thought that it was fun, catchy and had a great rhythm. Then, I saw another one, name of which I fail to remember, but the one where she is on kind of a stage, is wearing short evening dress and sings a really soulfull song about love. I thought to myself that amybe there is some hope for music.

Then Umbrella happened and all was lost. Judging by Your comment and whatever random pictures of her I see, the situation had not improved.

Well, just went to check the latest international news and bingo: radical imam preaching sharia and pro-ISIS ideas in Denmark. In a public mosque. Fuck! Just makes me wonder how many likeminded shitcunts my country now holds because of Schengen laws.

When I was told that in the new Battletech video game, you wouldn't have the ability to pick stuff up to use as improvised clubs, I died a lot. Several entire human lives, lost in an instant of sadness and grief. The game just won't be the same without this.

I feel ya OP. I have always been Gameplay > Graphic unlike my bro. He couldn't get into KOTOR cos of the graphic (really?) and he too only bought FF13 for the graphic only!

OT- The recent Ghostbuster trailer I guess.
I loved the original and from what I seen from the new trailer, its stand nothing like the old film other than rule 63 the cast. I can easily tell the humour won't match the original version (since it had Bill Murray and the humour was more adult theme).

To think there will be kids out there who haven't seen the old Ghostbuster movie and they will watch the new one FIRST????

I could point toward a certain trailer that was recently released, but instead I'll answer with something that seriously disturbed me.

A few days ago I saw a documentary about the Mexican drug cartels in Juarez, and how they're murdering the shit out of everyone without anyone being able to stop them. This itself was not new to me or even the worst thing really. No, part of the documentary focused on 20-somethings who were literally singing their praise. What on the surface, to a non-Spanish speaking individual, sounds like an upbeat Spanish song, are actually lyrics about how awesome it is murder and torture. And this music is apparently really popular among a lot of Mexican and American youths. You saw goddamn concerts with seemingly normal looking people singing along with this shit.

It was pretty damn disheartening to say the least.

Watching people sincerely defend Donald Trump.
Yeah...just, yeah. All the yeah. You can't even work up the energy to say, "What if he said that about Christians/Whites/Men/Whatever" because people either don't realize what you're trying to point out, or "Oh, he'd never say that about (group)! He's a good man!"
Or, in a few cases, he's already said as much and people cheered him for it anyway.

Hm...honestly, I think the fact that I just realized Star Wars is still (probably) going to be making movies by the time I'm in my seventies. This is HUGE for me, as I am a total Star Wars freak. I own multiple copies of the original trilogy--including the Original Theater Cut on DVD--and I read every single book that took place after Return of the Jedi. I adore the series.
But last night, while talking to my friend, I realized that Disney isn't going to let it go, isn't going to let it take a break. And I realized that I'm going to get burned out and there's nothing I can do about it. That was a real gut check for me.

Probably the person who told me that The Force Awakens is "objectively badly written".
Pretty much this. Whenever somebody says something is "objectively bad" or "objectively good" I die a little inside. I think somebody said "The Great Gatsby" (2013) was an objectively bad film the other day and I just internally despaired.

And yet I have no problem with terms like "overrated". What can you do?

Rihanna has always been hit and miss in how she goes about her music, probably because she practically spammed albums out in her early days to the point where she was releasing one near enough annually. No semblance of quality control has ever existed for her.

For every "Umbrella" and "***** Better Have My Money" (though I like both as guilty pleasures) we get a "Diamonds" or "Take a Bow" so I think she evens out.

I accidentally watched the first 3 seconds of that video with the Russian lady carrying around the decapitated head of a child.

"The Last Airbender" film. I hate this film and all those who had a hand in making it as crappy as it was. Maybe I'm just being an annoying fanboy, but look at this dammit!
Terrible. Absolutely terrible! All that ridiculous dancing to move an easily avoidable rock that isn't even that large. It took 6 of them to do that. Just... wow. I can't even. Show 'em how it's done, Toph!
No dancing. One Bender. All Badass. Screw you Paramount.

When I read that Wander Over Yonder isn't getting a third season.

http://crackmccraigen.tumblr.com/post/140529754374/wander-over-yonder-over

First Fruits Basket, then Dan Vs. and now this. Why do so many of my favorite cartoons/animes get the axe while others I have no interest in go shambling on forever?

I know I posted earlier, but I just saw something on TV that I am making my new response. I wish I wasn't serious about this. Or rather, I wish this wasn't something that is really happening.

http://www.cbs.com/shows/rush-hour/

That's right. A TV series...based off of Rush Hour. Why is this happening? Who was asking for more Rush Hour? And who even would want Rush Hour without Jackie Chan OR Chris Tucker?

Watching the latest episode of the documentary series Truth and Power called "Hacking The Presidency"... It wasn't the topic that did it, but seeing the example of one of the <url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lawrence_Lessig>potential candidates running on the Democratic side getting completely snubbed due to how the system for even being a presidential candidate wasn't allowing him the opportunity to run in the first place...

Other than that... uh... No, that Truth and Power episode was worse enough right now... I mean, another great episode, but definitely the one that got to me the most and, metaphorically, made me die a bit inside...

Life. Life in general.

Seriously? My brother pretty much told me he doesn't want to play games with me anymore. My only dedicated gaming partner hardly plays anything with me recently. I have no idea why, and he won't tell me why.
