So what's the longest you've played a game in one sitting?

Almost certainly Transport Tycoon from way back in the day. Far too many times playing that until the sun came up.

The next most likely suspects would be Civ4 and WoW.

72 hour LAN party involving Quake 2. I don't remember the amount of Dr. Pepper consumed, but it cost me upwards of $75 in 1999. And I won 3rd place in a 64 player DM, took home a nice video card from it that I didn't need at the time.
It was considered an "Ironman" tournament, and I have no rightful clue how in the fuck I was able to play that long aside from piss breaks and in-between match stretches.

Edit: No drugs involved, and no stimulants other than caffeine which doesn't affect me since I was weaned on Pepsi.

Probably Killing floor to be honest. I played it for about 8 hours.

Killing floor is so addictive, especially that MLP related server I used to go on before everyone quit.

I don't have exact numbers but it's probably WoW during summer 2006. I was still leveling my first character so everything was new and fun. I was pretty much alone at home for a few weeks before University started and had nothing to do, so as I recall I pretty much played WoW the whole time. I must have dome some 10ish hours a day at some point, though obviously I did get up for bathroom and food once in a while.

I once played through the entirety of Chrysalis (NES) in one sitting during my summer vacation. Don't know how long that was, but it was long enough.

I'm guessing about 12 hours at most with Halo 3 back when it could make me interested. Damn those were the good ol' days. Now I can't play a whole lot of games past two weeks without getting bored of them.

Longest straight-through session I ever did was on Freelancer; me and a coursemate got back from 9-6 lectures, grabbed food, logged in about 7pm and it was 8am before we realised the time, and had lectures at 9 again.

I'd downed 6 beers and a bottle of chilli vodka over the course of the session as well, needless to say the next day was a bit Tarantino.

5 hours straight on Terraria when I first got it, similar thing with Minecraft in the early sessions. With more plot driven games, about 6 hours on Assassin's Creed II and about the same with Brotherhood.

I played Fallout New Vegas for about 8 hours one day, but I did stop in the middle to eat, so that doesn't really count.

CoD, Battlefield, Halo, and FPS can't really last more than a couple of hours, and only then when playing with friends

I think it was 16 hours straight doing a 100% completion of the first Spyro the Dragon in one sitting.
Thankfully I have cut the time it takes for me to complete that game down to about 5 and 3/4 hours.

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater, I was still in high school so I decided to skip the rest of the week my parents were away on vacation anyways :p
I don't know how long I went without sleep but when I went back to school I had finished the game twice gotten the stealth camo, grown a beard, was hospitalized for deprivation of sleep and food :D It was AWESOME!!!... at the time, I wouldn't do it again though

FF Tactics, about 24 hours straight, i guess that's what happens when you design a game that allows you to level up without advancing the storyline :p .

Half-Life 2.
16 hours, with a lunch break and a good bunch of cigarette/toilet breaks. But I did finish the game in one sitting.

Heavy Rain
I'd say 12-14 hours. Got up early in the morning (9am), went to get the game, bought some food on the way and came back home to play it.

Monkey Island 1-4
I have no idea how long it took, but my friend and me actually finished all Monkey Island games (back then) on one sitting.

I played Final Fantasy X for almost 48 hours straight. At the time I was renting the game, and didn't have a memory card on my PS2. Managed to get all the way to the Al Bhed Home without turning off the machine...
