Me and my buddy used to be really into Kung Fu movies when we were kids so when Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon came out on DVD we watched both the subbed and the dubbed versions. I don't know if its true anymore but when we did it, the big fight scene in the tavern a fat Budhist monk with a staff shows up.
In the subtitled version he appeals for calm with something like 'Please, do not fight...for I am Brother Jing.'
Yet when it was dubbed we got 'DARE YOU FACE THE FORMIDABLE BROTHER JING!!?!!'

I made this account when I was still playing WoW. Furbyz was the name of my druid and main character for something like 3 years. One night during a raid, our tank starts speaking some gibberish at me, which turned out to be furbish. He linked me the page on the language, and we both started learning it. Furbish being a language with only about 50 words, we got it down pretty quickly. Pretty much all our interactions in raid were done in Furbish for awhile. The biggest problem was that with only 50ish words the language was fundamentally too small. So we made up our own words to expand it.

Cheesepower5 was what I used for my Runescape SN about... 7 years ago? I've used it off and on between other names like RedMage. Chose it 'cause cheese is good on everything, and 5 was my favourite number.
My avatar, at the time of writing, is Balthier, from Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions on PSP. Because it's a great character, from a great game who happens to be broken as all shit. I'm actually very tempted to switch over to Atticus Murphy Jr. from Todd and the Book of pure evil, who is currently one of my favourite villains.

Not much really.
My username is the same name as my Assassin in Guild Wars and I couldn't think of a original name when I first signed up so I took my favourite character name.
As for me avatar it was originnal my Assassin avatar face but that was too plain. When MLP:FiM first aired I became a brony so I had several pony related gif avatars that I change for several months.
Now my latest one is the Queen from the Season 2 final. I was going to use this after she made her apperances however several others members started to her as their avatar aswell (I guess she was mainstream per say).
I recently notice those members had switch her out for something else so I took that as a sign to use the Queen gif as my avatar now.

My username is the end result of me trying to come up with a Canadian Transformer (or to be more precise, a cybertronian that landed in Canada). He's a snowmobile.
As for my avatar, well it's Shenron from Dragon Ball. I have it because I like Dragon Ball a whole lot (I refuse to call myself a "fan"). I used to have an avatar of SS Goku, but I felt I was unworthy of it so I changed it to my current one instead.

My username is so chosen because it more or less reflects the current state of my life.
Persephone was unknowingly doomed to the stay in the underworld by the food she ate, as I was unknowingly doomed to crippledom by the food I ate. I have a severe form of celiac disease which wasn't diagnosed until after it had pretty thoroughly shredded my health. As a result, I spend at least half of my time sitting around trying to rest and recover (and I get worse if I don't). And I can't leave my apartment on my own due to health concerns.
The picture is just something I got off a Google search for "Persephone." I thought the gray, slightly grainy quality of the picture evoked just the right emotion.

My username is some kind of portmanteau of the words "cosmos" and "osmosis", which sounds pretentious now that I think about it. I just like the word "cosmos" and thought it sounded pretty neat.

Back in the golden days of the Call of Duty series when it was still good, i.e Call of Duty: United Offensive, I was looking for a new online nick because I'd grown tired of my extremely childish one which I will write here only to discourage people to do such horrors to other gamers eyes, I was nicked "Cr@zY_b0y" which even to this day haunts my very nightmares.
So, at that very faithful day of changing my name I had a friend over that had played the game "Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay" (or however all that is spelled) and he was talking about some cardgame or dicegame (wasn't paying attention enough) and mentioned a certain combo you could get where the guy you were playing against would shout out "High Llama", now, for some strange reason, my ears interpreted my friends "High Llama" into "White Llama" and me being Swedish and all thought that the extra l in llama just looks riddick-ulous (see what I did there lulz) and just in the way just decided to write in White Lama and well, when I a few weeks later watched him play that game and notice it was "High Llama" instead of "White Llama" I pretty much reacted with a "Oh, well that's unfortunate." and by then I'd already gotten so used to my new nick and so many of my new friends called me either "White" or "Lama" I couldn't be arsed to change it.
And since then it has stuck with me through most games (except RPG's, seriousfacenames).
Oh, and the _ is just used where I can't use space in my username.

My username's one I use for most things really. It doesn't mean anything as such, the story behind it is actually that a friend of mine had the username Snapy Dog on Runescape way back when (I mean, this was probably nearly ten years ago now) and I, being unoriginal and wanting to copy/ annoy him, took the correct spelling. It just sorta stuck. As for the avatar, it's a fanart of Sephiroth I found on Google, and I liked it. He's an interesting character and it's a good drawing.
My username (the non-numeric part anyway) was a suggestion from a friend for a name to use on another forum. The name has gone on to stick over the years, seeing that its my XBL ID as well.
My current avatar is Troy as Kickpuncher. Classic piece of film-making.
Edit: Duh, didn't even notice my name doesn't have a number prefixing it! That's rendered half of what I originally typed irrelavent!
