I'm pretty awful when it comes to movies. Favourite animated film? The Great Mouse Detective. It's Sherlock Holmes. If he was a mouse. Favourite Live Action? James Bond. The one where he says "I'm Bond, James Bond", but not the one where he races a space laser at the north pole... it's bad. Failing James Bond, I would say... Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It has an alternate dimension Bond.

You mean I have to pick ONE ??? Well shit...
The Deer Hunter, Brazil, Ikiru, Easy Rider, The Dark Knight, Stalker are all up there, but since you've specified that I "have to always enjoy watching it again" I'll go with Up.
A bit wierd, especially when compared to ones metioned above it, but I always have a problem picking out one movie :)

Oooh, did nobody post this yet? Bladerunner

As fan of hard sci-fi, Harrisson Ford, and Ridley Scott (with props to Rutger Hauer) this movie hits all the right buttons and then just happens to be a cinematic masterpiece. I'll never forget the first time I saw this movie, its hands-down my favorite movie of all time.

Scott Pilgrim VS The World.

Literally everything about this film appears to me.

I love the writing, the actors, the subtle geeky/gaming references, the soundtrack.. Everything.

It's one of the few films I've actually bothered to buy on DVD (and that's saying something, I hardly ever buy DVDs).

Who says I can't say Pulp Fiction?
No one (I hope), so Pulp Fiction.
It's the only movie where every time I watch it it just has a slightly different feel, and every single time I see the movie I notice or acknowledge a hidden area or message of the film that I completely missed during my previous viewings.
It's rich with perfect dialogue, memorable performances from 95% of the cast (pretty much everyone except "Blueberry Pot-Belly"), tension, comedy, even moments of horror.
Plus it has probably my favourite monologue (from ANY source) of all time, delivered by the one and only Samuel L. Mother-fucker Jackson.
(Starts at about 2:20)

Probably George A Romero's original "Dawn of the Dead". What can I even say about this movie? It's a classic, no questions asked. Simultaneously hilarious and terrifying, and unendingly influential. If Romero invented the modern zombie in "night", he invented the modern zombie movie in "Dawn".

Fight club.

The movie is exquisite! Every scene is memorable and every line is perfectly delivered. There are no moments I am bored with after seeing it hundreds of times.

Terminator 2 and Fight Club. What, you want me to choose? NO. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!

I actually do hate picking one. I know you told me not to do this, but let me explain. I feel like if I pick one movie from all of my favorites, I will forget an important one. That isn't to say that the movie I do pick isn't important either. I will play along though and select a single movie.

"Accepted" you know, with Jason Long and Blake Lively. Not only is it without a doubt one of the 2 funniest movies I have ever seen, it also has a plain interesting story, but more than any of that, it has meaning. It points out how hopelessly flawed the US education system is. It took a serious issue and took it head on and made it funny, while still showing how important it was things needed to change. Here we are, 7 years later, and we still haven't heeded the warning. Definitely my favorite film

Yay, it only took three posts for somebody to decide that they were more super-special than the stated terms in the thread and rattling off huge lists!

Sigh. This is why "top X" threads are always doomed to failure.

Anyway. The three biggest reasons why Romy And Michele's High School Reunion takes my title.

Since I have to narrow it to a single film, Kafka.

I have never watched a movie before or since that captured so perfectly the creeping feeling that something wasn't right with the world and that I was powerless do to anything about it except, maybe, try to stop it. Whether by argument or by other means, I could only change others as they wished to be changed. Just as it is with myself.

"It's not too bad working here, though."

"You've never thought of it as a horrible double life from which there's probably no escape from insanity?"
