I was born on the cusp personally (ironically being mentioned above). I am both Aquarius and Pieces and I find I actually fit decently close to both though depending on where I look I tend to fit into one more than the other.

Its funny how different peoples descriptions are depending on where you look for the signs.

I've done my own chart and found I was so cuspy that if dear old mum had held out for just fifteen more minutes, I would have been a Sagittarius.

But, since technically, the Sun was in Scorpio when I popped out (29 degrees, 29 minutes)...a Scorpio I am.

I'm a Libra, but Virgo cusp. Basically, I'm an indecisive perfectionist. Mix that with ADHD and the moral of the story is: don't ever try to figure out what the hell I'm saying or thinking.

Extrapolate on that how you will.
I'm pretty sure cancer and sheep contain very contrary personalities, and I have no idea how the annual element works with the Chinese part.

Cancer and Independence:
Cancer is the astrology sign that is packed full of contradictions so when it comes to independence, they possibly can or can not be independent. On one side, they have the perseverance and drive to do what needs to be done, they are self-sufficient and do not need to depend on other people for the material and physical things in life. On the other hand, they depend on people for emotional support and encouragement. A Cancer that is not fully self-actualized will need the constant support of others and will not be very independent but the Cancer that is 'evolved' and has properly harnessed their emotional issues will be wildly successful as an independent human being. They crave attention and comfort from other people and they are happiest when they have a small, close knit group of friends or family.

Loyal? Caring? Dependable? I'll give you self absorbed; you were spot on with that, so there's your solitary gold star, but the rest of it? Apparently I'm supposed to be some kind of mawkish "friend of everyone" judging by this assessment, but really, you could seal me into an oubliette and as long as I had food and entertainment and some kind of creative/intellectual outlet, the only thing I would really miss would be the natural environment, not people.

Strengths: Generous, idealistic, great sense of humor

Weaknesses: Promises more than can deliver, very impatient, will say anything no matter how undiplomatic

Fits me pretty well, but I'm sure it could fit anyone pretty well... given enough mental gymnastics.
and of course traits seem to change a bit from site to site, the one i chose said they were extroverts... fuh-huck that noise. When dealing with others, I'm usually screaming internally and/or externally.

For me, how people perceive themselves in relation to their signs is more interesting than the hodgepodge pseudoscience behind them. To me, those who dismiss it because it isn't particularly accurate are missing the point. Signs, to me, are more a frame of reference and less like inherent laws of the universe... and more like a character archetype, a place of cultural familiarity and a perfect jumping off point into the subversive/ deviating traits we have... the stuff that makes us us and not people kinda like us.

Eh, I'm kinda rambling now, I'm sorry must have spent to much time with my palm reading, alien believing conspiracy theorist grandma.

I've thought western astrological signs were nonsense ever since I read what a fucking downer it is to be a Capricorn.

Nobody likes them, all their positive traits can just as easily be negative ones a la "Well.... we have to say SOMETHING nice about you. How 'bout you're good with money (aka stingy) and you have high expectations (aka you're a prude and no fun to be around)."

I'm not a workaholic, I'm not ambitious, I don't have good work ethic. I'm not a pinchpenny. All the weaknesses apply(distrustful, conceited, unforgiving, etc) but none of the strengths except for "stock loyalty". It's just dumb. The goat fish thing is cool, I guess. So far, the most accurate representation to myself as a capricorn is Gamzee Makara and he's lazy, perpetually stoned and goes apeshit and tries to kill everyone. I can get behind that.

I much prefer my Eastern Zodiac - I'm a Water Monkey. I can way associate more with that aspect. Granted, it's all kind of silly to me but I know people who entirely base what they think of other people and excuse the shitty things they do on their zodiac sign so I guess I'm glad I'm not somewhere where having AB blood would get me into trouble.

I can't catch a break. -whine- No one LIKES Capricorns.
