Honestly, I think it's a wonderful thing. Regardless of my views on the actual song. I love that the dance moves are so simple, it provides accessibility for people who may not have the biggest confidence in their dancing ability, this allows them to join in on, in my opinion, the most fun part about clubs. They have nothing to fear because it's a recognisable dance move and so many people are doing it at the moment, enabling everyone to cut loose.
First time my friend showed me this clip made me go "dafuq is dis?" after watching it whole. The results would come later when I now have it on repeat both that and the Hyuna version and I listen to it when I do some PvP.
So yeah,it kinda grew on me and I started to "sing along" so to speak every time I hear it.
So far, I haven't been overexposed to it, only seeing and hearing it when I want to, so I still freaking adore it. It's a fun dance, a fun song, and I love the video. As of now, I don't want it to die, but I'm also hoping it fizzles out before major hatedom overtakes it.
To me it looks like LMFAO being sung by Tamori (Japanese TV host) dancing with BoA.
There is something about the Asians when it comes to crazy stuff...
Then of course the filipinos will dance it out in jail.
