I'd say Scar, but Chernabog is the living embodiment of evil, so he wins.
He is more badass than evil imo.
Chernobog is pure evil. And he is seriously badass!!

Frollo from hunachback is just freaking insane as well.

Frollo, last of the scary rather than funny villains. He tried to burn down freaking Paris, and kept the hunchback in a tower.

Though Maleficent is pretty evil. And the Queen from snow white, she sent a hunter to cut out snow white's heart!

Also I got Jafar, cause I have a thirst for power. And I'm not embarrassed I know this much about Disney.

EDIT: Also I just saw Chernabog written, yeah he IS Evil itself!

Wait... what the fuck?! These are all women... does this say something about Disney at all?!
I never thought of it that way, actually. Let's see, a few of the classic Disney films that Disney himself worked on are Snow White, Pinocchio, Bambi, Jungle Book, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Peter Pan.

Snow White had the mean assassin guy that was supposed to kill her, but he defected to the good side before he could do it.

Pinocchio had all male bad guys (Honest John, Lampwick and the like), no females as far as I remember.

Bambi's main antagonist was just the hunter, I guess you could say. And considering the time period, we can assume the hunter was male.

The Jungle Book had all male antagonists (Sheer Kahn, the Snake, King Louis). The only female in the movie AT ALL was that girl at the very end.

Cinderella was all female on the bad end: Wicked stepmother and the stepsisters.

Sleeping Beauty, like we said, was all Maleficent. And she gets even more evil points because she didn't just want to kill the prince. She wanted to lock him up for 100 years, let him out when he's an old geezer, and THEN have him go wake up Sleeping Beauty. And then, I assume, kill them both soon afterward.

And then there's Peter Pan, which has Captain Hook and no major female bad guys. I guess Tinker Bell does betray them for a while, but that was just a moment of weakness.

So there are quite a few bad guy GUYS in there, they're just a bit more obscure :) The major ones are all female though, it seems.

Cruella Deville
Wanted to skin puppies for a coat that would most likely gather dust in here closet after 2 uses, no aims for profit, higher status, just because she wanted it.

The selfishness of it and the actions themselves make her the wost imo.

I don't think this is that hard. Peter Pan. Obviously. The guy kidnaps people and takes them to a land where they'll never be allowed to grow up, and then trains them to terrorize a legitimate businessman's entrepreneurial efforts. Those bastards.

Damn, ninja'd, but I was actually going for Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty.

I think for the most part fairy tales either had animals as villains or powerful women. Not Disney's fault what they got to work with.

Gothol (Tangled) and Frollo (Hunchback) are the worst -- both are incredibly manipulative and psychologically abusive towards their "children." They see nothing wrong with their actions, and take great pains to justify themselves as looking out for the best interests of Rapunzel and the Hunchback. They're not really evil, but totally and completely amoral.

And it helps that I've met a couple of people just like them in real life...

He's been mentioned already but definitely Frollo, he had a certain level of evil to him that, looking back, was unmatched.

The witch from snowwhite, I mean, a little girls heart in a box? maybe she meant a heart-shaped box because that's just sick, even for Disney.

The good guys were also mostly women too.
Women who were more or less useless until you get up to present day. The "hero" was the night-in-shining armor type, some guy who neither the main character nor the audience actually knows very well, or even sees before they swoop in and vanquish the evildoer.

The Swedish versions always have great casting for the villains, so used to scare me half to death.

More OT: Jafar was the more uncomfortable, insidious type of evil that always struck me as particularly bad. Most Disney villains either come straight out with it (Frollo) or risk revealing themselves fairly early on (Scar) but Jafar pretended to be a loyal subject and advisor while plotting to take over just for the sake of power.

Okay, so he may not be a Disney character originally, but he was still a lot more evil than most other characters I could think of.
Frollo Gave me nightmares as a kid.

After him probably Hades, funny and fucking evil at the same time.

The man who shot Bambi's mum? D:

Jack votes Xanatos. Yes, you see what I did there.
Xanatos wasn't so much evil as he was successful. While he did hunt the gargoyles, he never really did much to push him past Demona, Thailog or those assholes with the hammers from season three.

no love for Professor Rattigan yet? The guy killed multiple widows and orphans for shits and giggles.
