So who actually completed Amnesia: The Dark Descent?

Nope, I couldn't even get half way through the demo, but I have been thinking of giving it another crack sometime soon.

I beat it but it took me a few months with all the long breaks I took for the sake of sleep (around 11 hours of total play time). Amazing game that's really worth pushing through.

I finished it with my girlfriend. We had very interesting reactions to different parts. At the part where you walk down a long room to look into a room and then turn around and there's an image of a gatherer there I flipped a shit, because it was the first time I had ever seen one up close and my first reaction was to stick my face in my girlfriend's chest and ask her to make it go away. Very manly, I know. But at the water part I didn't think it was scary at all. Just thought it made me panic because of the sudden movements and stuff like that, but that goes with any game, scary or not. On this part however my girlfriend was like yelling at me to do certain things and when the water would start to step and get closer she would flip out and like take the mouse and keyboard from me and jump on top of some boxes. The water part was not scary to me at all, and from what all that I heard, it was supposedly the scariest part. Anyone else have the same feeling I do?

I did. Took around 8 hours. I searched high and low for every tinderbox. Rarely using them. At the end I had like 80 and half oil. It's story did feel as though it was extended for the hell of it. It kept me on my toes the whole time so I loved it.
