Though it should be noted there isn't such a thing as "African" facial features, it's just a stereotype. There is way too much genetic diversity in most continents for something like that to exist.

I'd say it just means the common features of the oldest peoples on Earth like the San (Bushmen), but it's generalized for simplicity. Though that does still sideline most of the actual continent.

Its like something out of Stepford Wives or maybe a really creepy Silent Hill set in Korea.

The thing is.. cosmetic surgery is incredibly common in Korea, like.. absurdly common. So essentially, I suspect what you have in this case is not even just a bunch of people who look the same, but a bunch of people who have been surgically altered to look the same.

Other creepy shit about Korea. The most common form of cosmetic surgery is a blepharoplasty, which in practice means putting a crease in someone's eyelid to make them look less asian.
