So, who picked up the Team Ico Collection?

I got my copy of the game this morning and decided to boot up Shadow of the Colossus first, simply because that was the one game that the PS2 really struggled to run properly.

With a HD spit and polish and increased framerate, both games look superb, now is the best time to pick up this collection if you've never played them before.

Although a moving Colossus on my background would probably scare me a bit.

Oh no, they scared me when they were NORMAL.
They were just always staring at me, and so detailed, and they seem to never blink.

Had it for 2 days, already finished Shadow of the Colossus twice. My favo game of all time in a new jacket? You bet I had to get it. I'll just finish Shadow a couple more times and then I'll move on to Ico. Had it for years, but never finished it.

I do think that Ico looks a bit better in comparison to SoTC, but maybe that was due to all those wonderfully re-rendered tiles and bricks bathing in the sunlight.

It's kind of funny how the Trophies were added in Ico since the game doesn't really have too many moments of "accomplishments" or "winning". Certain Trophies you get literally for just watching a cutscene.

I got fucking stiffed on the extra content voucher though, since I bought the game on the 29th and the voucher expired on the 25th. Nice going there, Sony Europe.

Got Shadow back when it was new, and found Ico a while back after several months of searching for it (it was $40, used, without the manual, in a half-broken box, and someone had written some illegible word on the disc in marker; it was worth every penny).

Are you sure the voucher is inavlid? The date on mine says 25/9/2014.

The codes won't work until the 10th of October.

i didnt get a voucher for anything. it was all on my disc already ready to download. but i've only spent 30 minutes on ICO and it already payed off the 40 dollar price tag by itself. so i guess thats a testimate to how good the games must be

After managing to get a credit card attached to my college mail room's address JUST to get the collection from amazon, I accidentally send it to my house instead. I have been waiting to play ICO for so long and I love Shadow of the Colossus. (I also payed for release date shipping, and while it was only $.99, wasted money is wasted money.)

That's sort of convenient as my parents are visiting for me on the 8th of October and will be bringing the game with them, but I won't be able to play it until the 10th since I'll be spending the weekend with them. Not that the theme really matters to me as I am NOT giving up my awesome Infamous 2 theme I got free during the 30 days PSN+.

I owned both games for the PS2, I'm so glad I get to play them again, HD or not.

I didn't buy it. I would love to, but I'd like to play SotC again on the hard difficulty. Playing all the way through the normal campaign just to get to the hard one seems like a waste of time to me. Unless theres an option to jump in on hard that I don't know about...
