Honestly, I think that their claiming that 'they're not blaming video games, it's just something to show respect for the parents'.
I can see the rational, but I don't agree with it. They're basically saying 'We're not blaming shooters...but we kind of can draw a possible line from the shooting to shooter games'
I get the main idea for it, but I don't think that it is a good enough rational. It's like saying 'let's ban guns so bad people won't have them'. It makes sense, but there will still be guns out there and the only people who'll have them are the cops and the bad guys (because if you want it in this world, you can have it with many things). I don't think their intentions are bad, though they may be trying to push ulterior motives of game-blaming...even if it's not, it's not worth it.
I won't play shooters that day probably because...well I don't have many that I am playing right now. I feel like going out of the way to do so would be like someone say 'don't eat cookies' for no big reason and then you say 'well I was going to have one, but now I'm going to eat all of them!'
I would just say don't do it (which seems like the consensus anyways so I'll shut up now...lol
