I just surprised noticed that i cannot think of any with whom i'd spent more than a few chats to ask things.

Seems like all the fictional characters to whom i really can relate to, were ones that i created myself. Perhaps because most of 'em were autonomous - powerful, agile, intelligent, emphatic ... beings that would relate to me because of mutual gain and a shared mindset, instead of to compensate own deficits. People who look for "the other half" don't interest me that much. I like relationships that result in "2", not "1". And those aren't exactly popular attributes, when it comes to characters in media.
