Wait, so are we the main character or are we just a part of the video game world like an NPC? If the former, Mass Effect. If the latter, Mass Effect, TF2 (since they respawn endlessly, their fights are like a TV show), or Psychonauts.

If I get to take Alex's place, then Prototype. If I have to be a random passer by, then Final Fantasy IX. I could fleece all the heroic bastards with my well practised skills at Tetra Master

I would rather die, i hate replaying games, i can play the same game for 6 times max if its not linear or has multiple choices, endings, even if i could choose a new game after i beat the old one it would suck, theres only about 6 titles a year that i'm really interested in.

that would be fun as hell :3
You don't read the fluff on just how miserable the existence of everyone in that setting is, do you?

Unless you're an ork, in which case, waaagh!

I was wondering why so many people picked settings where the game might be fun, but man would it suck to live there. Then I realized I'd probably say PS:T.
yeeees but he's talking aboot the game itself
as in shooting at things all the friggen time
and i die...respawn in another squad or a hero unit :3
*also sorry for thread necromancy*

I'd love to be dropped into the Persona universe. Summoning Personas may be traumatic, but it'd beat hell out of being trapped in some WoW-like world.

The sims 3 , then i will litterally live forever and ever . Because the sims can be like real life , so i would be in a game and not know i'm in a game and think it is real life , and everytime i get old qnd die i am reborn as a baby sim and lose all memory of my previous life ... Hmmm isn't there a religion like this somewhere already?

Sacred 2, or any of the Elderscrolls series; huge open worlds with lots of history and variety.

Bioshock. I WANT to live in that world as much as I want to continue breathing. Of course, I would prefer the year 1958, but w/e. The atmosphere, the language, the music, the creative industry and work ethic. Yes, please! I would follow Andrew Ryan to the end.

There are some other great worlds I would 'think' that I would want to live within... but they don't actually pan out. Fallout 3... radiation, starvation, no shelter, monsters, rape, murder, I'd be dead in a few days at best.

I do think Mirror's Edge would be a neat place, visually at least. However, after the bright, solid colors become commonplace in my thoughts, the day to day would not be much different than my life now. Of course, there's the obviousness of being a free-running-ass-kicker the same as Faith, but you can sorta do that in the real world, just with less structures specifically designed for the activity.

Mass Effect, Fallout, Elder Scrolls, or... Brutal Legend. Only because it's metal. Dungeon Fighter Online, Left 4 Dead. Mount and Blade: Warband.
