The very middle. I always grab from the very middle, and I never eat the heels. I'd rather have very soft bread, and then a week or two later have crusty bread rather than relatively crusty the whole way through.
I take the first three. From there I turn slices 2 and 3 into a sandwich, and butter the first. Then I eat the sandwich, then eat the scrummy buttered crusty slice :3
Since I'm pretty much always making toast, I take the 2nd. I eat small dense, dark bread that burns easily, so the heels always crisp up too fast.
Still, they taste just fine to me. I just hate burnt toast.
depends on what kind of bread it is. if its crusty then i take the end piece first, cover it with butter and wolf it down. Otherwise its the third piece. always the third piece ¬¬
First slice is one of the ends: no go.
Second slice is usually hard because it's cut so close to an end piece, and is bent slightly: i usually start here.
Third slice is "normal". I fucking hate when people grab deep into the pack. These are the same fuckbags that leave crumbs in the butter.
The first piece of bread, not the damn door wedge of a crust.
The crusts always get thrown out, way too much bread in a crust! One slice of crust feels like 3 normal slices, which fucks up the whole meat to salad to bread ratio!
