That aside . . . no, I wasn't in a weird group during high school. I was kind of paranoid and afraid that people would back stab me or they were laughing behind my back. Simply put,

And while this is fairly old news, I agree with the mother. If this is the worst thing they're going to get up to in school then good for them, it's probably better than going out every night getting paralytic, having unprotected sex with as many women as possible, failing lessons due to hangovers and getting into huge fights. Sure, it doesn't coincide with my view of convention in society, but it's a lot better than underage drinking and street fights.

gatta say i completely agree with this guy. i'm not a goth but i know a few and this is something that just happen to be found weird by some a$$ of a news anchor. ^^' I find it funny that the kid thinks there is wolf in him but hey, people have come up with worse.
I've actually seen one of those tail things before, a friend of mine wore it to school once and everyone thought it was funny(laughing with her not at her) and now she wheres it sometimes when i have people over. these kids just decided to make a group out of it.

There wasn't anything like this at my school though; the majority there had enough problems accepting regular skater types (the closest thing to a 'clique' I belonged to). Anyone who wasn't into sports and had slightly long hair was just bullied... these kid's would have had a very difficult time there. Shows more about the bullies than the werewolves though...

So Twilight mixed with furries and some form of Punk derived "non-conformist" clothing style (Let's see someone get me for calling the clothes by the wrong sub-group now)? It's silly, and it makes you wonder how bad high school must be in Arizona for people to make this elaborate and frankly insane of a counterculture. Unless their leader is just messing with us, he honestly believes that he's part animal. Meanwhile, one of the other members apparently killed some poor family's dog and took its skull. At its most messed up, my high school had nothing on this. They're well within their rights to act like this, but they must have a seriously messed up school system down there to feel the need.

Also, is it just me, or does this bring a whole new meaning to the acronym "FFA"?

Interesting, its funny cos this was around 1997, i was in 7th grade. So they traded in all their makeup and korn shirts for big pants and skateboards...the 90s were a great time for fads.

It is kind of odd, but what surprises me most is the less reserved, complete lack of impartiality that the reporting station seems to have. Are all american stations like this, or am I too used to the British stiff upper lip?

Have you never seen fox? It seems it's more common for American news stations to have a target audience and to pander to them. There are left and right leaning stations, that are more than happy to mix in a shitload of opinion.

BBC is advertless...it's not a money maker. It also has a role as a public service, so it has alot of rules that it has to abide by.

OT: Seems a little silly...with the tail and all. But so is wearing trousers that are too big for you and letting them sag down below your ass, or getting lots of piercings, or tattoos, or t-shirts with slogans on them. Look at any fashion closely and it becomes ridiculous. When you start choosing style over functionality, you're running the risk of being mocked.

On a more serious note, someone should call the American Humane Association on that ***** for killing her neighbours dog... plus their parents or school counsellors should hold an intervention before one of them gets mauled trying to dominate a real Alpha or guard dog*.

I also think it's quite funny and hypocritical that one of them was talking about how it's important to belong to a group who accepts you for what you are, when he blatantly can't accept what (species) he is.

Granted, I was in one of the 'weird' groups in high school (the kids who had bipolar disorder or similar issues all got sent to mandatory weekly groups, so we kinda stuck together), but we never did anything illegal or this level of creepbeast.
