...and you say how long it's until, you know... ?
Oh. That's not that long. Oh, sorry, i didn't meant to... Oh i see, you've accepted your fate and are willing to talk. So... Tell me, what it is that you regret not doing more ? Naaaah, you're bullsh*ting me. I don't want to hear about working on better relationships with your family, friends and lovers. I don't want to hear about unfulfilled dreams, travels to foreign, exotic lands. I'm not interested in ideas of fixing whole world either.

Tell me about those little, mundane activities you'll, uhhhh, miss.

For me it would be reading. I f*king love to read. I am perfectly fine without people, internet and pretty much every other luxuries, but i can't survive very long without books. Comics are fine too, but books are better. At my final moments i'll miss all those texts i considered "worth reading, but later".

So, i guess that's me. And how about you fellow Escapists ? What you'll miss most on your deathbeds ?

I'd miss my dog jumping onto my bed at 5am in the morning and cuddling into me before falling asleep again, or my girlfriend having a cup of tea ready for me when I get out of bed. Simple things. :)

That warm feeling I get when I'm happy
Hot showers
Biweekly MiracleofSound songs
How I Met Your Mother, My Little Pony and a slew of other TV shows.
Dancing, however badly I might do it
Love
Harry Potter
Chocolate

And so on and so forth. I could do this for hours.

I will miss reading my webcomics (the ones with a story) and the long running animes like One Piece.

The thing about those is it's a journey to watch or read to find out what happen mect but my journey is now cut short.
I would be in a state of forever wondering how it all ended in the afterlife unless I somehow convince the mangaka or author/ creator tell me how it will end. Yes I know Luffy will be the Pirate King but what happen in his adventures before he became the king of all pirates?

Also I will miss talking and hanging out with me mates.

Hot spa baths... Reading a nice long book... Having a casual drink with a friend. These are the best things in my life. Haven't had a chance to do any of these in quite a while though, unfortunately.

If I found out I had an incurable disease and was gonna die...I would choose to live.

Dead people dont miss shit. What the hell is wrong with you people?

EDIT: I forgot. When I die I want a funeral pyre built and my body burned like the good ol' days. If my family insists on burying me, I want my body shaped so that Im smiling and my arm propped up so my friends and family can high-five me into the afterlife.

those warm summer nights, when the heat of the day has gone down with the sun, and all that remains is the sunset lights stretched into the horizon, a light warm breeze sweeping across the ground and the smell of grass fading into the coming night.

id say id miss that the most.

Man, I'm a sad person.
They'd probably get a TV/DVD thing set up for you. Depending on the disease.

OT: I will really, really miss driving around. I've always dreamed of driving as a kid and as an adult I enjoy every trip. Losing that would feel like losing a ton of my freedom. I'd also miss gaming and Lego but those are petty little things compared to the feeling I get when going wherever I want, whenever I want.

I already have Juvenile Diabetes so...whatever.
Yeah, the idea that "incurable disease" = "you'll be dead in six months" is kind of offensive and massively ignorant. There are plenty of genetic diseases that don't kill people for ages or don't affect lifespan significantly with treatment.

As someone else said, don't people don't miss anything. They're dead. Sort of why I'm an organ donor, I'm not going to miss the mundane process of filtering my blood, so take my kidneys.

I'm just a sad person as you are, though perhaps not on the same level as you are.

OT: I would miss... I don't know. I'd miss my dog. He has such character, and he feels like a human so much of the time. He's the reason I don't drink.

Yeah, ask me about that story, I'll tell you why I don't drink because of my dog.

You won't miss those things because you're dead. Hell, this person here is most likely to miss their treasured things:

Dog's gonna die, and there is a possibility of breaking up with a girlfriend. Life's cool.

I'd miss the smell of horses, bizarrely enough.
I'd miss the feeling of grass growing up to my waist.
I'd miss the way my three year old niece pounces into my arms when she sees me.
I'd miss the feel of wet clay coating my hands, and being pulled in a horse drawn carriage, and going down the Chain of Lakes in a boat.
I'd miss watching the eagles and seagulls fight for their supper, and watching the barges come in and hunting for constellations with my girlfriend.
I'd miss the apple blossoms, and looking over the side of a canoe and spying a hugeass trout swimming alongside it.
I'd miss learning about herbs from the medicine man, and making rice and hearing the traditional stories.

....My god, I'm not ready to die. o_o

I would miss thinking. Yes, simply staring into space and think about random stuff. I wouldn't know how many days of my life have been spend doing just that.

I'd miss the Escapist. Funny video series. Interesting people to talk to. Fun communities. All gone from my life.
I'd miss people, I'd be lacking the one thing that makes this planet so alive. People. Ordinary, stupid, brilliant people!

Don't look at me like that!
