I'd be an Indian gypsy or a Swedish farmer on my mothers side. Don't know much about my father, but his ancestry was Belgian.

I'd probably be some sort of Irish drunk.
I don't know anything about my Irish heritage/family history so I'll just go with the stereotype.

Re-living my grandfather fighting in the Pacific in WW2 might be pretty awesome. But maybe a little frightening, seeing how his platoon was ambushed by a Japanese patrol late during the night. My Great Uncle also was in the Big Red One, and I don't know if you've ever heard of Audie Murphy (the most decorated soldier in WW2), by my uncle was next in line for a movie, basically (had he gotten the MOH). Second most decorated man in the war.

Well, assuming that Holy Blood, Holy Grail book that Dan Brown ripped off for The DaVinci Code was correct, I would get to relive the life of Jesus Christ, since that book combined with my family history says that I'm directly descended from him. If not, I guess my next most important ancestor would be either a random Scottish noble (from the Sinclair family, if anyone cares) or Henry Lee. Reliving the life of Henry Lee would be pretty cool...

i would probably be a viking pillaging gold and terrorising monks in there towers and raping young beautiful women getting drunk and sailing across europe in a longboat while waiting for something else to happen and oh yes many attempts at arson

Well, since I am a Star Wars fan, i'd go even further back, like in the Knights of the Old Republic time line. xD.
Remember how the movies start?"A long time ago in a galaxy far far away..."
Well i'd bet on that, and be like some sort of jedi/sith combo, not too dark, but not a goody goody two shoes wither.

Can't resist:

I have no idea. My genealogy is crazy.

Ive got N.Welsh, Yorkshire, possibly Scottish, which give Celtic and Norse origins potentially, The Forest of Dean, Hugano French, Irish. Central London. Ive, like most of the UK relatives who served in both world wars.

Ive not idea. I really could end up anywhere in the world doing anything if that machine.

Sadly, I have no idea about what my ancestors were. I'd like to re-live all of their lives because of that. But, probably like all Europeans, I most likely had some Roman mish-mash and medieval idiots for ancestors. As far as I know, my paternal ancestors came from the north and my maternal ones came from the east. I secretly hope for some Vikings and ancient Greeks. Nevertheless, as a history lover, I'd take any and all scenarios.

If I go back far enough I could be a viking! Yay! Or I could be some Ukranian or Polish guy... doing whatever it is they did in either country (getting pillaged and killed by Mongols?)

Hmm...

Well considering I have mixed Polish, Dutch and English heritage, who knows?

Perhaps something celtic...

To be honest, I just don't know enough about my ancestry to really pick out anything earlier than my grandparents.

My Grandpa was in the Vietnam war.
Was a Sniper and was shot twice ... once in the ass.
Oh and he was on the U.S side, you know the losing one.

I apparently am descended from a Norman duke who came to England in 1066 with William the Conquer, that would be interesting.
Same here.
