In a plane it doesn't matter, when you give the ass to one you're giving the crotch to another. Otherwise I don't really bother noticing.
Eh? If you have a row seats all facing the same way, how do you give a person both? Are you talking about all the aisle seats? If you are, why not just walk normally?

Well for one sometimes you have to squeeze between people to get through...and some people have trouble getting through small spaces due to their...body mass >_>

I get you now!

I was thinking about fight club, on the plane when Brad first meets Edward he says "now a question of etiquette, do I give you the ass or the crotch", then gives him the ass. That is the bit I was thinking of, just a few short seconds later he has to squeeze past a flight attendant and he gives her the crotch, which is what you mean.

I'm such a dummy sometimes.

1)Never borrow phones but I'd like to keep it as short as possible. And if you're asking for my phone just be quick about it unless it's seriously an emergency. Oh and don't leave your sweaty face juices all over my screen tyvm. Shits nasty.

2)Hmm guess i'm rude in this regard. I tend to get nice and relaxed and stretch out if i'm going to be sitting for awhile so sorry other people.

3)Public transport though I tend to give my seats up for elderly people and such or a person with a baby.

1: I'd probably send a text, I also have a monthly plan which gives me 10000 free minutes which I will never manage to use in the span of a month.

2: Can't tell, it depends on how much room I got.

3: It depends on the time of the day and how far I am going. If I am standing for 5 minutes I prefer to stand and keep close to the doors. It also leaves the seat there for people who might need it more. If it's very crowded and no-one seems to take it I will take it in order to leave more open space. If I am going far and it doesn't seem like there's anyone who needs it I will take it and not think anything of it. I'm not anti social.

1. You're out of credit on your mobile/cell phone, you ask a friend if you can make a call, how long do you chat for?

As short as possible. But then again, I usually do that anyway. I hate phones.

2. When passing somebody in a cinema/airplane (etc) do you give the person the crotch or the ass?

Depends on how much room, there is, but usually the ass. I don't see why that would make a difference anyway.

3. You get on the bus and there is 1 seat left and you're by yourself, do you take the seat or leave it? Maybe go 1 cheek or try to leave as much space between you and the stranger?

Unless there are any other people who really want to sit, I take it.

Probably around 30 seconds, most definitely below a minute, that's what most of my calls last anyway, so I don't see why it would be different on someone else's phone, though I normally get around without using phones.
And yes I do mean I keep most of my calls short, I remember when my grondmother died earlier this year and I had to call my brother to tell him and the call was literally "Uh, sorry to bother you but I am afraid grandma has died, come to our parents house as quickly as you can we'll be waiting." and then I hanged up, I just really hate using phones.

When passing somebody in a cinema/airplane (etc) do you give the person the crotch or the ass?
Wait, what?! Eh, I've never given it much thought actually, I can't remember probably have done both.

You get on the bus and there is 1 seat left and you're by yourself, do you take the seat or leave it? Maybe go 1 cheek or try to leave as much space between you and the stranger?
Eh, normally I stand, I don't mind sitting next to strangers too much but normally the buses are packed or get full a few stops later and I prefer not to take seats from anybody, if I was seating and somebody gets in I normally give them my seat too, that's just how I am I guess.

If you are in a taxi... do you talk to the driver? What do you say?
Eh, I'm not very talkative, I'll answer every question they give me as briefly and non descriptively as possible, I haven't really bumped into a taxi driver that doesn't get the message that I don't want to talk to them, doesn't really help that I always look and sound dead serious and have a scar over my left eye, normally people don't mess with you if you look like that.

Here are a couple examples of social etiquette that I want to quiz you guys on, ready?

I don't have a phone. So I don't ask to use others.

(You're not supposed to talk about FIGHT CLUB!)

The crotch. But only because I have more control over that region so I can avoid them better.

I take the seat and look the other way the whole time.

2) Bum, I'd just feel weird facing a person I'm squeezing by
Safe choice in my opinion. Imagine if they decided to make eye contact?

OT:
You're out of credit on your mobile/cell phone, you ask a friend if you can make a call, how long do you chat for?
That would uh, be for as long as I actually needed to chat for. If I didn't need to, I wouldn't make the call. As far as I go would be somebody had to know something or I needed assistance. Not a long conversation.

When passing somebody in a cinema/airplane (etc) do you give the person the crotch or the ass?
See above.

You get on the bus and there is 1 seat left and you're by yourself, do you take the seat or leave it? Maybe go 1 cheek or try to leave as much space between you and the stranger?
Depends how much I need to sit. In general I reckon the stranger would appreciate you just as much as you appreciate them. (see: not much)

As for taxis, I never use the things. It's either a bus or driving yourself.

I only ask the first question 'cos I had a friend ages ago get a text from his dad and asked to borrow my phone, I have 300 minutes and unlimited texts, so I said £go ahead and call him, I will never use up 300 minutes a month".

So he calls his dad and after the initial point that was raised by the text was discussed, he drops this line "so what have you been up to?".

CHEEKY MOTHER FUCKER! you're using my minutes to chit chat? Sure, I will never use even half of them but that is not the point. It's the principle of the thing, you should be like "hey, I am on a mates phone I need to be quick, whats up?" and be sharpish, not take full advantage of the person you're borrowing from.

Hasn't borrowed my phone since. Tehehe

1. As long as it takes to get my message across, but only if it's urgent.

2. Crotch, because I prefer to look people in the eye when I can.

3. I take the seat and get comfortable without intruding on the stranger's personal bubble.

4. I've been in one taxi in my entire life, and I didn't say a damn thing other than my destination and "Keep the change."

1. Most of the time if I need to borrow someone's phone it's for a emergency, so it's usually very short.

2. Ass, but it's more because when I stand up from the chair I would literally have to turn around to, which is kinda hard to do in cheap theaters/lower class seats.

3. Sit, it's not great but better then standing.

4. If they're chatty I'll respond otherwise it's just where to go at the beginning and a Thank you at the end.

1. Never. If I really have to under one minute.
2. Bum(cinema). I'm sure the person I'm squeezing by would rather my ass in their face more than my crotch.
3. I like to stand when the bus is packed but most drivers tell you to get your arse on a seat. So I usually one cheek it, I wish people would one cheek it when they're have no other choice than to sit next to me they always sit on the corner of my jacket man.

As long as it takes to get whatever need to be done, done. I don't borrow phones just to chat

Crotch, because I usually have a backpack on, and I don't want that actually hitting somebody in the face.

depends on whether my seat neighbor is A) exceptionally wide or B) kinda creepy.
