"Of course we get ambushed, we always get ambushed." Richard muttered as he took a stance before one of the creatures rushed him. It tried to claw at his face but one sword was able to block as the other ran through the creature before kicking it off the end of his sword. He turned to see that he had been surrounded by the creatures and small groups charged him as he continued to block, parry, and destroy the creatures. Without his suit though it was turning out to be quite the struggle since he was without the strength or agility assisting abilities of his suit.

The nun-creatures continued to run out from the shadows at the team of heroes, only to be cut down and otherwise killed. Their numbers only continued to swell as they were defeated. As Taryn fired a blast of electricity at one of the creatures, something caused the arc of energy to suddenly change its course. As it flew on its new trajectory, the electricity compressed into something resembling a beam and slammed into the locks on the aged door on the other side of the room. A few of the chains broke apart and melted, significantly weakening it. In front of Taryn, a faint, transparent image of Levi manifested. Obviously strained, he managed to flash a quick smile at her and nod towards the door before disappearing.

Alex blinked seeing Richard surrounded and came to his aid. She kicked afew nuns away from him and cut others in half with water. "I told you I'd protect your ass." alex smirked cutting donw another large group in front of her.

Eric grabbed something metal and turned it into a bow staff. He swung it around bashing in the heads of nuns that got close to him. "Will they ever stop?" Eric said seeing Alex jump in to help Richard. "God that women." he said.

Katie continued to launch volleys of razor leaves at the nun-demons, dropping them where they stood but not killing them. She could see their numbers expanding even though the Society was picking off the creatures quickly. Dammit... we gotta get rid of them all, she thought frantically, concentrating on the creatures in front of her. They kept coming, and she kept incapacitating them with volleys of leaves.

That was her problem. They were neither human nor animal, just creations of Victor's power. Katie redoubled her efforts, aiming to deliver lethal blows rather than mere crippling attacks. The first wave fell dead, and she felt no remorse about killing them. With this tactic, Katie managed to keep the creatures away from her, even gaining a slight advantage as she stepped forward to gain ground.

As Rowan continued to punch, kick and otherwise lash out at the swarm of nuns coming for him, they managed to score a few decent hits themselves. A talon pierced his shoulder, causing him to cry out; he put the nun who had the temerity to do so out of commission with a brutal left hook. Another one ripped into the same arm, drawing blood from a deep wound. Rowan roared in pain and anger, casting a few of the creatures back with a backhand sweep of his good arm.

They recovered quickly, moving to surround Rowan, but he stepped inside the overextended swing of one, caught it by the wrist and drove a side-kick into its abdomen, sending it flying back into its fellows. Given a brief respite, he launched a psychic bolt at one. It lanced through the nun, killing it, and Rowan shot another blast straight into the creature behind it for the same effect.

But the nuns kept coming at him, relentless and unheeding of their fellows who fell.

Tyson saw a couple shots fire by a Luger wielding Ethan and looked back to see the creatures behind him fall dead. The number of creatures kept growing as they were killed off and he made it to the group. Completely turning around Tyson saw chains on the ground below the door handles of the aged door. Not one-hundred percent sure what did it, but Tyson was glad something was in their favour. "Everyone we make a charge for the aged door on the opposite side of the room or we die!" Tyson shouted as he slammed the tray into a nun's head causing the nun to fall to the ground and the tray to become useless.

Heading back across the room Tyson grabbed a nun's arms and stuck his against her chest and pulled. The arms ripped off as two more dug their claws into Tyson's back. Tyson bellowed out in pain producing a sound wave directly forward towards the door before sticking the clawed ends of the arms into either nun's neck.

'What the-' Taryn watched her bolt get redirected and slam into a door, which was certainly not the creature she'd aimed at. She started to yell - as though it could 'fix' the error. Before her protest could be voiced Taryn was startled into silence by an very Ghost-like image of Levi appearing. Or...someone who looked like Levi.

Taryn looked suspiciously at the image but when it smiled and indicated the door her bolt had hit... 'Maybe. Maybe it is him.' Taryn thought as the image disappeared. There were too many things going on for Taryn to track. 'Not to mention.' Loud growling sounded from nearby. Close by.

Turning sharply Taryn shot a fresh bolt of electricity at a snarling beast who was trying to sneak up on her. This time there was no divine intervention and her bolt left a gaping hold through the center of her opponent. When she was finished making sure the creature wouldn't rise again Taryn began heading for the door which was no longer locked but still somewhat chained. As she moved Taryn fired bolts at any creature she could get a clear shot on.

As Garrus was trying to come up with a plan for escape from this hell-cafeteria he heard Tyson yelling about heading through the newly opened old doors. He turned to tell Leland to head that way, only to realize that both of his brothers had made a beeline towards the opened door as soon as they saw it opened.

He shook his head and cleared out a few of the nuns that were blocking the path over there, doing his best to keep them at bay while he and the others made their way to the beacon of hope known as the hallway.

Brian turned as he herd Tyson cry out. It was impossible to miss really with the scream he let out after. "Sorry girls," he said as he dealt another blow to the head of one of them. "Looks like I'm adopting a new strategy to get out of here!" Leland and Ethan were already heading for the door that Tyson pointed out. Brian charged after them, eager to get away from these things.

"How about we save the congratulations until we are out of this mess." Richard replied before hearing the insane plan being proposed but figured it was either stay with the group or get overwhelmed.

"You do all realize this is obviously a trap right?!" Richard shouted as he made a break for the door with the others.

It was a big messy melee and Tommy was loving it. It was statistically impossible for a punch not to his something, so with every movement a nun-creature went flying into the air and into a wall. After clearing a circle around him with a Chuck Norris style roundhouse Tommy began charging towards the door and caught up with Richard.

"Of course it's a trap Richard, this whole things been a trap from the beggining, you think Victor didn't know we would come in here?" He said as he grabbed a nun and send it bowling into a crowd of more nuns, "Strike! Haha, but hey traps are fun! Add a little bit of the unexpected into life eh?"

Past the aged door was yet another short hallway, with a single door at the end. A bright white light shone from behind the door, illuminating the area around it. There were no other doors in the hallway, save for the one that lead back into mess hall with the demonic nuns. This door, too, had locks and chains, but they look as if they had been torn forcibly from the door. Whoever did such a thing was definitely very strong.

Alex ran though the door dragging a yelling Eric behind her. "Eric shut up please." Alex said was Eric tried to get free of her grasp. He kicked and tried to break free as hard as he could but failed in the long run to do so.

"No I want to keep going." Eric said before Alex slapped him in the back of the head. "Come back to reality, we need to move on and get to Victor." Alex said letting go of him.

"Alright, let's go!" Rowan called to those who were still in the mess hall, knocking two nuns aside as he barreled towards the doors, fending off more of the unholy things as he did so. Within a couple of minutes he reached the doors, punching a nun off its feet with a blow to the abdomen.

"You guys go on ahead, make sure there aren't any nasty surprises waiting for us. I'll try to contain the nuns until we're all out of the hall," he called to the group that had made it before him.

"God dammit, they won't let up!" Katie muttered, taking down at least half a dozen of the demons with every volley of razor leaves. She was pushing forward, gaining ground... and then she felt something hit her in the small of her back, ripping through her armour but not touching her skin. On a reflex, she shot a foot-long branch spike out of the back of her plant armour, impaling the nun through where the heart would be and killing it instantly.

Katie resealed the tear in her armour to avoid it being exposed, trying to push forward towards the doors a little faster. Being the only one in the hall besides Rowan, Jason and Erebus, she was on her own and in danger of being overwhelmed.

"Dammit! Jason, help!" she called out. "I'm a little swamped here!"

Jason and Erebus bolted towards the newly opened exit, easily dismembering anything that dared to oppose them. Jason spun on a heel when he heard Katie's call, stopping at the doorway.

"Ero, I need a Staff. Back me up at the door while I go get Katie." Jason said simply.

Erebus obliged with a stomp, a long spike springing from the ground and in front of Jason. It stayed suspended in the air momentarily before Jason caught it, twirling it momentarily before hurling it through the head of the Nun nearest to Katie. He sped towards it, grabbing the staff from it's embedded position while jumping on the shoulders of the dying monster. Using the forward momentum from the jump, Jason leaped forward, swinging at the manifestations that attacked. Once he got enough space between himself and the monsters, he helped Katie get to the door.

"Erebus is gonna close this portion off. We couldn't just leave you behind, y'know?" He said, helping her through the doorway, Erebus holding the line with projectile spikes before thrusting a claw at the ground, raising vertical and diagonal spikes that covered the door's previous entrance, Jason stabbing his staff into the hand of one of the mutants that reached through the spikes.

"There, that should hold them off!" Erebus said, feeling accomplished at his work. Jason observed the spike gate before turning his attention to Katie.

"That was a bit of doozy wasn't it? You okay?" He asked.

"Good work man," Tommy said slapping Jason on the shoulder before approaching the glowing door. He cracked his knuckle in preparation for another fight.

"So... who's up for checking out what's behind the obviously trapped Door number 1?" He asked, the excitement in his voice showing he was not worried at all by the possibility of walking through the door and straight into Victor.

"Fucking hell they really don't stop coming do they? Never ending spawn points always suck," Garrus said, panting slightly as he took a moment to catch his breath.

"That certainly was pretty crazy. I'm just happy it's over, for now at least. Good job though everyone, we managed to get past them!" Leland told them with a thumb's up. "As for checking out that door, I'll do it. It probably is a trap, but at the same time it truly is the only way to go. Along with that it seems like it was forced open, so perhaps we are going to delve somewhere deeper in Levi's mindscape," he mused as he raised his hand to block out some of the bright light that was illuminating from the sides of the door at the end of the hallway.

"Well...here goes nothing," he muttered to himself, looking back once more before turning the knob and pushing the door open.

Breathing a little harder under the weight of her armour and shield, Katie shrank the latter back into her arm, growing a trio of foot-long razor-leaf claws on each hand instead. It had a slight Wolverine-ish feel to it, but it was better than a sword or another unwieldy weapon in the close quarters of the hallway. "We've faced worse... but in lesser numbers," she answered Jason, giving him a quick one-armed hug as a thank-you for the semi-rescue.

She looked past Jason towards Leland, saying, "Hold up!" as he opened the door. "You should stay back, we need you to get us out of here if necessary. Who knows what Victor could have done..." She hurried over to him and pulled him away from the door before he could walk through.

"I understand the concern here Katie...but truthfully staying here isn't going to do anything either. Along with that I really want to leave this place. Who knows what we'll find on the other side? Perhaps it's something good! Though at the same time..." Leland mumbled that last bit, weighing the odds of the door. It was already slightly ajar, and he actually had a good feeling about it. With that he made his decision and kicked the door open the rest of the way.

As the door opened, the blinding white light spread and washed over the group, just like the first time. As the light slowly and eventually dissipated, the world around them had changed dramatically. Instead of a lifeless orphanage, they had been placed in the middle of a bustling Victorian-era Steampunk city. It was about noon, and the sun was high in the sky, casting light through thick clouds of industrial smoke billowing from countless factories. All around them, gentlemen strolled wearing fine coats and vests and ladies wore dresses and corsets of all shapes, sizes, and colors. If one looked to the sky, they could see the gigantic marvel that was Big Ben standing tall over the horizon and airships of all kinds taking off and landing.

Vendors up and down the street were pitching their wares, proclaiming that their products were the answer to all of life's problems. "It'll grow your hair back!", "Cures diabetes!", "Increases your sexual performance tenfold!" were some of the many claims made by these loud merchants. Young factory workers, clothes in varying states of disrepair, weaved their way through the crowds, perhaps in a rush to make it to the factory on time.

Nobody seemed to notice, or in fact even care about, the sudden newcomers. With their outfits suddenly transformed into period-appropriate attire, they blended right in with everyone else.

Richard found himself wearing a top hat, monocle, and a rather stereotypical Victorian era business suit, complete with pocket watch in the inside coat pocket and chain connecting it to the opposite side of his coat, he even found he suddenly had a folded up handkerchief in the outside coat pocket. One of the more troubling issues was that his swords and armor made of light had disappeared, only to be replaced with a cane that had been hollowed out to be used as a sword sheath.

"You know, I could actually get used to all this. I actually rather want to bring this style back, especially the cane that doubles as a weapon. I'll bet you I could bring Victorian era fashion back into vogue if I try hard enough. Especially with the hipster and retro crowds." Richard said.

"The pocket watch is handy too."

Lillian was in the room where all the others were in chairs with the doctor and Renton.

"Shouldn't we hook them up to IV's or something? I mean, we don't know how long they'll actually be inside Levi's mind for." Lillian asked as she sat in the room, trying to keep the child from playing with those that were unconscious.
