I'm teaching English in China right now, and a few days ago I was doing subjunctive mood with some of my more advanced students. I was giving random scenarios and then asking "what would you do?" And everytime I asked "what would you do?" my head was filled with Socucius Ergalla's voice asking the same question. I thought it would be funny to give my Chinese students the class placement quiz from the Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and see if they could translate it and answer the questions. So today I did. And it was awesome. I now know which of my students are Beijing Bards, Kung Fu Knights, and Shaolin Spellswords.

The distribution of students selecting the stealth, combat, magic answers was surprisingly even. Nice job, Bethesda.

I haven't told them where I got the questions, though they noticed the content was a bit more "colorful" than the stuff in their textbooks. I'll tell them and give them their class placement at some point, though. After all, who could frown upon learning that deep down, beneath the glasses and cargo shorts they're really a Battlemage.
