A Washington based soldier used the torture method of waterboarding on his 4 y/o daughter who is afraid of water. Why? She couldn't recite the alphabet...

Not much to discuss, but I tought you should know there are some extreme crazy people out there, very much crazy! :( Maybe want to think up a punishment for the guy?

My original source was Dutch, but here is an English link:

Yeah he's not allowed off base to see his child or girlfriend. I think that is for the best.

I'm going to laugh when he's in jail, and even the people that are in there for disemboweling folks with rusty hooks think he's a monster. Overall why the f would you do that!?

He is still on a base?

Not in a little room with bars on the windows?

Just drop him behind enemy lines. He'll either die or waterboard the sh** outta them

Waterboarding's name doesn't do it justice. It sounds like an extreme sport.

On topic: That's pretty horrible. Not much worse you could do to a kid afraid of water.

He's in "house arrest" on base pending trial.

I think the obvious solution is to find out his greatest fear and multiply it times ten.

Like if he's afraid of scorpions, have him tied up naked in a bathtub full of them.

If he hates heights, blindfold him and kick him 2 metres out of a helicopter a couple a times.

But he should be approached and on the spot have to recite the alphabet backwards in 30 seconds, z, y, x, u, w, sorry that's wrong, now come with us...

Small point of contention: He did not "waterboard" her. He claims to have held her under the water (which is horrible enough), waterboarding is different from this. The papers are using the term waterboarding along with the fact that he's a soldier to give it some connection to military torture when there is none.

Don't know why they're sensationalising it, it's bad enough already.

I live in perpetual terror that the police are going to pull me over and ask me to recite the alphabet backwards, I now I'll fuck it up! If they waterboarded anyone who got it wrong I'd never get in my car again.

People like that make me wish they'd bring back public flogging. Like to see how macho and angry jhe is after he's tied to a post and beaten bloody raw with a cat-o-ninetails.

What an absolute and utter fucking dickhead, that bastard deserves to rot. Excuse my profanities but that is crossing the line in my books. That sort of stuff just makes me so fucking angry.
